Wrestling New 2020 commit — Bryce Hepner

Interesting pickup. Can't identify major wins. Didn't place at Ironman. Should be a very good practice room addition. Maybe the coaches noticed something that others have seen.

Don’t be surprised to see him as 157 or 165 in a few years. Not saying as our starter but has a big frame from what I have been told.
Yeah, just saw he’s projected at 165. He did look very tall for 138.

Over the weekend of May 31- June 2 , there was a tournament held for the Cadet World Team. The Cadet age group consists of high school aged kids. Bryce wrestled in the 65 kg group. In the second round he was paired against the eventual winner, Ryan Sokol from Minnesota. Bryce was up 6-5 with one minute to go but eventually lost 11-6. This past weekend at Final X, I seem to remember that Bryce had a cast on one hand. After the SOKOL match he did not wrestle again and appears to have forfeited in the consolations . At the end of the match you can see him shaking his left hand. Sokol did not let up a point to anyone in the tourney except to Bryce. RU got a good one although an injury appeared to prematurely shorten his tournament.

For those with a Flowrestling subscription here is the link. In the background, you can see Donny P and Coach Harry Turner watching the match.
