Nigel Johnson

Embarrassing
I'm glad the team remains upbeat, I'll give EJ credit for that, but As carino suggested, it's almost some Jedi mind like stuff that he has his team accepting this losing with the idea that they win with spirit and effort...participation trophies for everyone!

6 games to go and 5 of them are winnable plus a winnable conference first round game. If they cant pull one or two out then this team and staf are losers in any metric you want to judge them by

If he is lackadaisical or its because of injuries to me is moot. Every time he is on the court I want to put my head through a wall. For every great play he makes the next time he comes down the court he finds a new way to turn the ball over and most of the time it leads to points on the other end.

He is a Rutgers kid through and through and I will always thank him for giving us a shot right after the Rice incident when we had nothing. But if Johnson is half the player people tout him to be he will be a huge upgrade over Daniels.

And I hope with Johnson maybe we can press a little bit because I hope we have 10 players on team. Sorry Daniels is hurt, and Lewis has a bad knee. Laurent had a concussion, never have I seen a year like this and have watched since 1974.

Bishop won't make excuses for his play. It's been a tough season for everyone on a lot of levels.

That said, this team is still 100 percent together and working to what goals are left. That is my biggest reason to be prideful of this group of young men wearing our uniform.

Eddie rightly deserves criticism for the team's performance over his first 3 years, but this is one area where he deserves praise. The fact that the team is together and playing hard in the face of such adversity is a credit to them and the coaching staff.

I'm 6'2" and have always had "hops". But I've played against people 6'7" and taller. Let me tell u, it's not fun and it's exhausting. Those of you that continue to diminish the point about ALL of RU's big men being hurt have either never been in this situation or are just assholes. It's amazing how many of you really try to get around that. Do u know how easy it is to score on someone even 3 inches shorter than u? Do u know how important offensive rebounds are to the final score? Or any rebounds for that matter. Size matters. And I can only imagine in college how much MORE it matters. To be clear, I don't know if that justifies bringing Eddie back, but this one discussion makes my head pop when some of u try to ignore it.

Sanders the other day had a rebound and OSU kid who was probably 6'8" took it right away and scored. Size does matter like the poster above said. And Boylan mentioned Williams battling kids 4 inches taller. And Williams can't get a rest because there is no one else. And again Njcane is right on the money, guarding bigger players is tough because you are using a lot of energy.
