The Peppers News Network. Five stories in the last three days on Peppers.

Get it. He's a good player. But what does he have to do with Rutgers football.

That's all.

hummmm.....

the site is called NJ.com not RU.com.

They cover all things NJ, and Peppers is from NJ.

So...

Hmmmm, I said the Rutgers Football page. . . . . . . So, read more closely . . . . .

No problem putting it under sports generally, but under Rutgers football?

Ok, I see. I think that was just the case of some hapless editor having no idea where to put college sports articles at. If you notice all college sports articles are filed under Rutgers even if it is not about us.

That may be it, and I know they are reviled here, but I have the Rutgers Football Page bookmarked. The editors do seem to tag and put in a lot of stories that are only peripherally related to Rutgers Football. Just thought the 5 stories in 3 days was a bit over the top on Peppers.

I think so too, but our season is over and they need something to write about. It is a business, I wouldn't take it personally.

Nothing personal, but you can see how Dunleavy has changed a bit since going over the to dark side. Compare JP Pelzmann's work over at APP.com. Yeah, he wrote that story about our assistants being lowest paid in conference, but most of his articles have a very neutral to slightly pro-RU tone.

Yes, that is 100% on the Editor, who freaking HATES Rutgers (see his tweeter rants against us). The writers are not the problem, but they have to listen to their boss however. If you read what they post on twitter it is rarely overly negative towards Rutgers for the most part.

But the editor is a legit arsehole. Plain and simple.

If he wins based on his lack of stats he would devalue the award in my eyes

Totally agree.
Think Lamar Jackson should get it.
220/382 for 3390 Yards, 30 TD/9 INT. Rushing: 234/1538 yards 21 TD. And he is only a sophomore.
Baker Mayfield has a good case too:
235/330 3669 yards 38 TD/8 INT. Rushing: 74//143 6 TD

Thought the same thing this morning when I saw their latest post. I really don't care about Peppers. He chose to go elsewhere, which is his prerogative. I don't need to be reminded over and over again about another Jersey guy we missed out on. His being a Heisman candidate is, IMO, more of a Michigan story than a Jersey story. And, if they want to make it a Jersey story that's fine, put it on the Jersey page.

The Peppers thing puzzles me. He was not a finalist for a couple for the top defensive awards and although a Heisman finalist, he is unlikely to win. He has one career int and was not a difference maker in the biggest game of his life against OSU. He is a great athlete but a bit overhyped.

I use ScarletNation.com and the Scout site to get my Rutgers news. Do these traditional media outlets ever reveal something interesting or new about RU that isn't presented here first? Maybe some of the "gotcha" articles.

There's not much going on with Rutgers right now. We aren't' in a Bowl Game, no new recruits. There's literally nothing to write about Rutgers at all besides our QB's transferring.

I would even question if he is a great athlete. Great athletes produce, and they produce the most against the best competition. This kid has never done anything remotely close to be considered for the Heisman except go to Michigan and have Harbough shill for him every chance he can get

Two more Peppers stories in the last hour by Dunleavy. One about Peppers saying he is the best dressed Heisman candidate and another about him playing Hot Potato with other Heisman candidates.

I can't get enough of this stuff. I go to Chipotle twice a week. Green Pepper my current favorite. On a Chicken Burrito bowl. Their chicken is awesome.

What about the news of upgraded practice facilities. NJ.com gives crap coverage on Rutgers.
