Rutgers wrestling kicked off their 2021 season last night, hosting the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines. Despite Michigan being without three starters, Rutgers was unable to get much going, losing to Michigan 26-10.

There were a couple highs, and many lows for the Scarlet Knights. There is no time to sulk though, as Rutgers wrestling will have to quickly regroup for next week’s dual against No. 3 Penn State. The match with the Nittany Lions will be the second of a nine dual meet season.

Following the match, TKR was able to catch up with head coach Scott Goodale and senior Sebastian Rivera to get their thoughts on last night’s performance.

Wasn’t the score 25-10 as Colucci held his match to a deciding and not a major?
