No. 17/18 Rutgers Men’s Lacrosse Opens Big Ten Play Sunday Hosting No. 13/11 Johns Hopkins

Given the weather it's fortunate this is a Sunday game. Wonder whether they will pole Collison or try to cover him with a SSDM.

You have to pole him and Degnon.

I’d like to see us not slide to them.

Finally to conference play. Not expecting too many changes, but would be great if Kulas and Krummenacher could step up a little bit more. This time last year, Kulas has 22 goals to only 7 this year - and he really did struggle in conference play but think that was more due to the Cameron injury and disruption in the offense. Then Krummenacher has had goals in each of the last 3 games, but I expected more from him.

No more excuses. JHU and then OSU next both at home, so it's a great oppurtunity. Too much talent on this team not to compete in conference play.

Thank GOD it's tomorrow. Another freakin' miserable cold/showers day here today. Still only mid-to-upper 40's but sunny on Sunday.

Need to get some production out of Krummenacher tomorrow. It would be great if Kelly is up to speed. Hopefully Aimone will chip in. He needs to get some shots with better accuracy.

Stoller needs to have another game like last week. He could make a big difference in the outcome.

Weather looks relatively good for today. Need solid D to win today. Big opportunity to go a game up on Maryland. (Has that ever happened?)

Down 4-2
Absolutely sleepwalking
Hopkins just pulled a hidden ball trick
Shot selection has been terrible the last couple of possession.

Defense needs to step up. They look lost.

Taking some awful angles along goal line extended.

Do we ever get any shots right in front of the net.
Every team always gets close shots against us. All of our shots have been from the wing and deep

Ugh
Down 5-2. Hopkins generated more quality scoring opportunities in the first quarter than we will all game. I’m done

Terrible sequence giving up that 5th goal. Stroller was getting intense pressure and then finally gets rid of it and they guy can handle the one hopper cleanly.

man, we dont look prepared right now. not a good start

still plenty of time...need to wake up fellas!

Couldn’t have asked for a worse first quarter of Big Ten play.

But honestly this is how we’ve played all year. Disorganized on defense, and pedestrian on offense.

We don’t have the horses. Not even close
Shane can beat guys one on one, but after that we really haven’t had a quality shot in over 15 minutes. Maybe we had 1 from deep. But the Hopkins goalie isn’t gonna break a sweat

It’s the offense. No one wants to shoot. You can’t just rely on Knobloch for the only offense.

We are getting outhustled.

The other issue and I am beating a dead drum here but Kelly is out. They are shorting our two attackman and poling our entire first midfield. We simply don't have the attackman to beat shortsticks. And that's a mild embarrassment to be honest.

No one wants to shoot because they can't beat their man. They are overplaying Ross and sliding to him immediately leaving other attackman one on one opportunities with space. And they cant do anything with it. Our entire first midfield gets polled.

Credit Hopkins staff. They saw what most of us are seeing. Our attack is just simply not dynamic enough. IT's that simple.

Need to revamp the defensive philosophy. Has been an issue last couple of seasons. New blood on that side of the ball.

WTF WAS THAT!!!!!!
We finally get a wide open shot
Why shoot it right at his feet. Goodness
Somehow worse than RU football passing
