Rutgers hasn't faced a close defenseman with Adler's quickness this year. He's disrupting the whole R offense.
We’ve “had” shots, yes, but some really lousy ones. The 3 shots coming down the middle were just awful.Cornell’s goalie is playing very well - Rutgers has had shots. Great saves.
Rutgers can come back - but they need to tighten up the defense. Some of the slides are lazy.
Play is ridiculous at this point. Still that's not a goal. Ref was right there too.
Face it, Cornell is better. I had other plans for Monday.
How can someone say they are better and on another level when we are handing the game to them? How many times can we give them an unforced turnover? Twice right in front of our own goal none the less. There's not much urgency on our part. No slides to double team leading to point blank looks. Cornell came to play and they want it. They are going after the ball in the ground and at our sticks with great success and we look passive. Rutgers looks like 💩 so far. They are lucky to be only down by 5 at half. Ugh!!!!!Wow. Cornell is just another level. They are impressive.
OK, so would you have preferred that I say we are worse than Cornell. How can someone say they are better and on another level when we are handing the game to them? Same things that have plagued us all season — late slides on defense, poor shooting and getting killed on faceoffs. We have overcome that by getting turnovers, winning the gb battle and getting clean clears. Well, giving away two easy goals on sloppy clears, getting killed in gbs and turning it over and this is the result.
