...we need to get on board and behind them and give them a few years to get their program in place. I've been pretty outspoken against GS, but if that were the hire I would get 100% behind him. I hope we all do the same and give whomever we hire a little slack early on.

Why would anybody want to support the new coach, especially when all the football savvy experts here clearly know who should be hired, and ultimately know far more than the people tasked to hire the FB head coach. Let's just line up behind Politi and the rest of the SL negative A-holes and denigrate the new guy in order to make his job and recruiting NJ as hard as we can possibly make it. Maybe Laviano has It right and a bunch of people should find a team they can wholeheartedly support.
If our new coach never has a reason to visit the Princeton University library, then they will have my full support.
Only at Rutgers do we even contemplate hiring a coach that half the fanbase won't support from day one.
I agree that he needs 3 years to prove himself considering the bare shelf left. We'll have the Big Ten money ready for the next one.
