He probably used some legal jargon on her. By the end of his proposal she probably thought it was her legal obligation to marry him. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Congratulations Camdenlaw, just remember she's always right, even if the law proves otherwise. How the hell did he trick someone to marry him.. er.. convince.. I mean... congratulations!
1960 World Series I was a Pirate fan back then. Sorry Zap.Camden remembers the 1960 World Series like it was yesterday and is getting married today!

A word of advice to CamdenLaw - repeat this often - 'Yes Dear'. It saves a lot of aggravation.

Should we start a separate thread for zappaa's event, and will CNN be covering that? Periscope?

And his son VanceIf Camden Law knows the 1960 World Series he knows Vernon Law.
We tied the knot this morning in a civil ceremony. We are both incredibly happy. Thank you, Zappaa, for starting the thread -- yes, I do remember the 1960 World Series vividly, especially Ralph Terry throwing that high slider to Bill Mazeroski with Johnny Blanchard behind the plate -- and thank you to all of you who have wished us the best of luck. This thread means a lot to me.
And from that same period, do not forget (Gene Barry's) Burke's Law.And his son Vance

You got married this morning and you're on the internet reading ScarletNation.com? Wow! Things have changed since I got married.
Yes believe it was Joe Adcock of Milwaukee Braves who beat him in the 13th. Living in upstate NY then & listened to the whole game on KDKA out of Pittsburgh. Can't remember either if Harvey started in that series. Great little lefty. Believe Law won 3 games. He really knew how to pitch. Liked Friend, hard thrower, big hook. He had a couple or a few 20 game win seasons.Yes, and I remember Bob Friend as another Pirates starter. Harvey Haddix (he of the 12-inning perfect game, broken up in the 13th) was on that Pirates team, but I can't remember whether he was a starter in the Series.
