I don’t like Duke but oh my are these freshman dynamic. Knicks need to tank tank tank. I love Barrett the PG and Zion is a lefty lebron

Well damn Barrett isn’t a guard . Yikes one hell of a stretch 3/4. One of these kids could really get the Knicks back to respectable as soon as they step on the court.
Now watch duke lose next game and me look like a jack a$$

Duke is the preseason favorite to win the national championship. Barrett is a playmaking wing at the next level. He can create scoring opportunities and make shots.

Cam Reddish is probably my favorite player on this year's Duke team. Very good two-way prospect.

Brings us back to reality. We have a long way to go.

Coach K had the number one recruiting class. I would not be surprised if some of these kids end up one and done especially if they win the national championship. Still, I hate Puke.

Everything I’ve read suggests not only one and done but all three going 1,2,3 in the draft. Wow

It was fun to watch yesterday and it's early but It reminds me of Alabama in College Football this season. I can't see how anyone competes with this come tournament time. However, I do think Virginia beats them at their place this year, so there should be at least one loss.

Reminded me of the 2015 Kentucky team that wound up going 38-1. They beat Kansas in their Champions Classic game 72-40. You never know what will happen in the tournament.

This year's ACC will be a lot better than that year's SEC was, though.

Scoring over 100 points in the first game against Kentucky is just another reality check that Duke freshmen are superior to most college teams upper class men.Experience is over rated as a success factor in college basketball with the emphasis on the one and done recruit by the elite schools in power conferences. There are always exceptions to the rule which leaves hope for other teams in the NCAA Tournament.

Could we finally put away the defense wins championship cliche.

Duke scored 118!

Kentucky scores 84 and lost... no were blown out!

Need the Kings to collapse so my Celtics can grab one of these Dookies. :)

Aside from watching the high-flying Duke freshmen, the best part of this game was the 37-page (!!!) game thread at Cats Pause (Kentucky's Rivals site). The first couple pages were filled with amped-up posters who wanted their Wildcats to knock the stuffing out of Duke. The last several pages (and pretty much the entire thread) was of the suicidal variety. A thoroughly demoralized bunch :)

Hey Russ Wood, no love for Zion? I thought I saw the promised land the other night :)

He is a terrific player. Cam Reddish is still probably my favorite player on this year's Duke team. For three years I've really liked that kid.
Duke and Kentucky don't have to recruit. They let the players come to them and cherry pick the best.
For players like Alex O'Connell, Antonio Vrankovic & Zan Payne Duke and Kentucky don't have to recruit.

But, and this is just off the top of my head: EJ Montgomery was verbally committed elsewhere until the FBI investigation. Tyler Herro was verbally committed to Wisconsin before reopening and committing to UK. Kentucky had to beat out UNC for P.J. Washington, Quade Green was down to UK, Duke, 'Nova & Syracuse when he picked UK. Romeo Langford, Bol Bol, Nassir Little, Darius Garland, Josh Green and Bryan Antoine all had Duke and/or Kentucky offers and didn't pick either of them. Heck Oscar Tshiebwe picked West Virginia over Kentucky.

In the class of 2019 there is a very good chance that the No. 1 and No. two ranked prospects pick Michigan State and Memphis despite having Duke and/or Kentucky offers.

They were built by Dr Frankenstein .

A long way to March-----Calipari has 4 months to get his squad better and every time they start feeling good about themselves he can turn on that tape.

Duke will have their hiccups-----it just figures to happen.

I was impressed with Tenn in watching them for a bit.

The guy at Ohio St is a really good coach and I thought Luther Muhammed looked a ton better than Quinerly looked for Nova which didn't surprise me a bit.

I liked that UNC played a Home and Home with Wofford . Wofford beat them in Chapel Hill last year and UNC returned the favor in Spartanburg in a well played game.

Watch out for Providence in the BE. All the talk is Marquette but I like Ed Cooley's team. Another guy who does a great job.

Irish, You are correct but these kids are way ahead of the curve.Fun to watch. Somebody will whoop them.

That Kentucky team's only loss was in the Final Four to Wisconsin. And that Wisconsin team lost @ Rutgers.

I grew up a UNC fan in NC, but Zion is the first duke player I’ve ever rooted for. 6’7 285 and moves like a gazelle, with ups like Vince Carter in his prime. He’s unbelievable.
