One of the University of Georgia’s largest donors is a Rutgers graduate. I was shocked to discover this as I toured their campus recently. He is also a major donor to Emory University. Many years ago a former Rutgers President invited him to come look around campus and really sent him packing because of how he approached him. It’s a shame that our the new administration has not reached out to him by giving him an honorary degree. He is the original individual that started Home Depot.
