Rutgers has commitments from three of the top ten recruits in New Jersey in 2024 as per Rivals.
Schiano must have stolen some of Fran's magic.
The ACC championship will probably be broadcast on pix 11 from here on out 😂
So many posters here have been going crazy with anticipation of a Syracuse fan coming to the board and giving us his prediction for the future of Rutgers football.
Can Temple or Boston College fans weigh in too ?

A non-factor for Rutgers as they didn't offer him per Rivals and 247Sports data bases. He's a 3 star on 247.
How does it feel knowing the big10 just wanted new york TV sets watching OSU/ Penn st/Umich beat up on rutgers?

I honestly don’t get sara (or RU for that matter) over a real Stanford offer.🤷♂️
Long is on the staff now, and Fran is new to the HC game, keeping Rocky for the 2024 season might be in Fran's best interest and staying another year as co:DC like Rocky's
listed might be a way for Long to take the time to find a program that fits him better .
Coaches travel to all parts of the country looking for the best fit.
Robinson Brown's pick for DC was only a CO:DC at TAM and Rocky's experience might help him as well.
Elijah is another good recruiter, but needs experience running the D and that might be a good reason TAM made him co:DC instead of being the DC alone
Fran never ran the D in his own,Elijah the same.
Rocky if he stays might be the one they go to when planing the defensive game strategy when Robinson doesn't know what to do.
Fran might beg Rocky to stay in the East one more year in order to give his choice to run the D valuable advice as Elijah gains experience being a DC and not a title, with the salary bump it brings, because of needing his recruiting ability .You should look at all the picture, not just the part you think is the one to look at and react on that.
Fran might wind up OK, but first time HCs aren't coing to win because of the HC experience they bring to the game, many hire assistants with HC experience to help them as they learn on the job
Robinson might prove to be a good DC, he does have experience as a co:DC , he probably will need some advice and having Rocky around might be something he wants so he can do the job right.
Look at all angles before placing a bet on what you think you know, or you will lose Money
Not my pocket but even before hitting college football gold instead of being mid low level of a struggling conference- Rutgers football did but a good chunk of money in my family's pocket...

Whole lot of typing just to be mis informed. Rocky isn’t the only HC the new SU staff has been around. Fran has learned from several HC including Kirby Smart. Rocky runs a totally different scheme than White/Erob. Rocky’s scheme is unique and has diffenent elements that it relies on. White had a good defense last year. He’s an up and coming coach. Erob as well.

There is a lot to watch with Fran- he could end up being very good and it is a great hire by you guys. He is also a very good recruiter- but now, let's see if the guy in the living room and on text/phone to players and HS Coaches daily translates to how different it is as HC where you are much more regulated and Fran needs to bring in other Frans.
And how good he was with DB's could mean something or maybe not. I am sure he is going to try to bring in very good coaches.
As for NJ recruits- yawn...Rutgers does not spend as much time recruiting NJ as we used to and majority of our recruits are coming outside of NJ...
Now this is a fair post. You are not making blind predictions like others are.
Interesting when Fran was at rutgers they focused on NJ.

Truly bizarre these kids would leave NJ and their state school in favor of playing for an 80s has been team located near the artic circle. Leaving a Stanford offer is even more insane.
Rutgers never showed interest and vice versa, kid had no interest.
Because Fran and Elijah are great recruiters. I’ve said it on premium side, he’s going to be a pain to go against in recruiting.
Even when Fran was here- we were moving away from fencing NJ- I do not believe we have had a majority of Rutgers commits since GS 2.0 has come back.
But- almost every recruit that came in, seemed to have met Fran at some point. The guy was non stop as a great recruiter

Wake up- when was the last time our class was majority NJ players- we are recruiting national. He has not impacted us yet...
Learned is key word, being there is needed to use experience when it is needed.
Rokey might have run a different type of D when he was in charge , but his experience will help a novice HC and an inexperienced DC.
Syracuse's HC might have apprenticed under some good ones , but he's still a newbie that will need advice and his old bosses might pick up the phone, but having experience on the staff can be used to help guild the players the right way in practice.
Up and coming couches also can use experienced advice .
If Rocky is still there at the beginning of 2024 season, I'll be right.
If not you will have called it, saying Fean doesn't need him.
As for long messages, sometimes every point must be made hoping the person you're talking to can see the whole picture instead of just the frame
Im not saying everything is gonna go great right from the start. It will be a learning curve for a staff first year together but the presumption that it will fail seems to be a common theme on your board. I think Fran having success will be a gut punch to rutgers fans. So naturally you want to see him fail. Greg 2.0 can only take you so far.
