For those who engaged in the Heimlich the last 2 days - thanks so much !

The patient has made a miraculous recovery from hospice and is home doing quite well drinking champagne !

Joey Lucchesi called up to start Game 2. Alex Young optioned to Syracuse (i.e. sent home, with our thanks).

Amazing what can happen when our very own Debbie Downer doesn't post negative videos, lmfao!!! SDo much for Steve Cohen is going to punt on the season back in March.

I left after 6.5 innings to go walking, figuring that I could listen to the rest on my SONY headset.
Howie Rose got really upbeat after Taylor's hit, almost predicting that this would start a comeback.
Alternately,I listened to the WFAN where Evan Roberts was living and dying on every pitch.
Now I must pull for the Braves to keep Arizona away from CBP.

Down 3-0 announcer already thinking what will Mendoza do to save his pitchers for game 2. What a heck of a game.

Despite the start, I don't believe their punting on 2024. I think Cohen just like most fans every spring believe a team that won 101 games with a lot of the same players can still compete in 2024. Get back to .500 whenever that is before the trade deadline and watch Cohen and Stearn put the pedal to the metal. I think as Mets fans most still don't believe fully in what we have in ownership, I do. LGM.
Called it that team would be fine.

This will be the last game of the season played under the zombie runner rule for extra innings.
That must change the way that relievers are utilized, knowing that the game doesn't have to end so early.

Ohtani will win the MVP and that will be a shame ( yes he certainly is deserving). Lindor carried the Mets on his back, until his back give out, then gave us the greatest comeback since Willis Reed. Will say the slide home gave me heart palpitations. With that swing in the 9th think he is OK

All I know is this- doesnt matter to me if it is SD or Mil - There is nothing more than I want than to be in the playoffs and see Atl home- lets score some damn runs

And BTW- maybe one of the best and clutch seasons we have seen by a player. Now, let's see my guy Lindor carry through to the WS. And then, even @FrankZ can start to love him- and I know he wants to lol

Severino with a rested Garrett, Butto, Stanek, and D. Young. Would not be surprised if they add another pen arm. A. Young has been sent down, and Megill will likely be off the wild card roster. You can reset the roster after each series.

Let it go already. Some of you guys are insufferable dbags. Like the other guy always sniffing my jock. Losers.
No I will not let go of the dumbest thing ever posted on this board. Criminals get released from prison and immediately go back to committing crimes.

Mets will meet Braves in the postseason.

Mets fans, you know it's happening.
I doubt that very much.
Mets would have to beat Brewers and Phillies. Braves would have to beat Padres and Dodgers.
Mets and Braves will be underdogs in all four of those series. Keep in mind that Sale may be done.

Wild card schedule in Milwaukee:

Tuesday 5:30 ESPN
Wednesday 7:30 ESPN
Thursday 8:30 ESPN2

The Mets sent out an e-mail describing sometime type of a golf event hosted at Citi Field on Nov. 1 st and 2nd.
In the unlikely event that they reach the World Series,Games 6 and 7 are scheduled for those dates and the Mets would have the home field over 3 AL teams, including Houston.

Wild card schedule in Milwaukee:

Tuesday 5:30 ESPN
Wednesday 7:30 ESPN
Thursday 8:30 ESPN2
Please oh please no Eduardo Perez, . Has the announcing crew been announced?

Edit--Oh thank goodness:

"We do know that whoever plays in San Diego will have the Sunday Night Baseball crew of Karl Ravech, David Cone, Eduardo Perez and Buster Olney.

The other series will be hosted by the Brewers who also do not know their opponent. Jon Sciambi, Doug Glanville and Jesse Rogers will work the series for ESPN."

Loved the comment Stearns made “ that making the playoffs” is the standard for this Organization going forwards.

Between Cohen / Stearns / Mendoza / Lindor / the development of the farm system etc - I am very bullish on The direction and future of the franchise.
