He's a pretty good pitcher. But certainly not as good as we've made him look every time this season.

The hitting approach against Schwellenbach leaves a lot to be desired.
They’re not working the counts to increase his pitches so they can get to the bullpen.

Why is he even in there. I get defense and all but this game is about finding a way to score. Failing to get a runner in from 3rd with less than 2 outs is a killer.
2 runs is really nothing. Well other than us making this guy look like all of 1984 Doc Gooden, 1986 Mike Scott and 1988 Orel Hershiser rolled into one.
Just once it would have been nice to see this team have a spine against the Braves, but this was way too predictable
The Braves should allow the Mets a runner on second to start every inning. Right now, that is the most guaranteed way to make sure the Mes don't score.
We're mets fans, so we knew today was going to be a mixture of root canal/colonoscopy... but the fact that this braves pitcher is going to breeze into the 8th inning, and they won't use the pen at all, and they'll have fresh arms, even if they aren't trying hard, for game 2.... this couldn't possibly be going worse.
Colonoscopies use propofol for sedation. Root canels use lidocaine to numb. I’m watching this sober. Oh the pain

A few years ago, I came around to not believing in bunting with the runner already in scoring position. Just get that extra chance to get the hit. Iglesias, great job!
Butto for the 8th and Diaz for the ninth? Remember Diaz pitched yesterday and threw over 20 pitches.
