It was basically a do or die play. Fast runner, going on contact, he knew he had to rush it. Almost like one of those do or die bare handed plays on a slow roller. No force play.

Tylor McGill bottom 9 of a tied playoff game was not on my bingo card.
All the late big hits against us were on terribly executed pitches. Middle/Middle fastball to Harper, hanging sliders to Castellanos twice and looping slider to Stott.
I truly hope that when we get back to Citi we can come out firing early.
In postseason extra innings, does the free runner rule apply?

- Megill being Megill. How do you throw that pitch down the middle? Let Castellanos chase next 2 pitches.
- Diaz looking very uncomfortable. Didn’t throw fastballs and looked very unconfident
- Mendoza not taking Severino out of game after Harper HR

Yeah that was game. When he didn’t swing at the high fastball, my heart sank awaiting the meatball down the middle.

* Jeff McNeil is reporting to the Mets taxi squad in Port St. Lucie to get some live AB's. If the Mets advance (big if), he will be a consideration for the NLCS roster.
* Starling Marte has wrist soreness after his HBP, but is not expected to miss any time. We shall see.

That's right. If only pitchers didn't allow Harper to hit HRs, that would solve so many problems.
I'd like to add that the Mets can't allow the Phillies to score more runs than them. That would solve all the problems.
