I share your concern. In the regular season he'd get at least one rehab game, probably two. Obviously that is a luxury that is not now available.Hope Senga is sharp and like he looked in his one start earlier this season. Not sure I love this idea overall, seems a little too high risk for a team with great mojo right now. Worst case he's very rusty in a raucous environment and starts us out in a hole.
Mendoza has pushed the right buttons all season, so if he's good with this obviously you need to trust him.
My gut says we get 4innings out of him. No way the Mets brain trust is pulling Senga out of hibernation for 1 iffy inning. He must have looked pretty damn good. LFGM!I guess what do we have to lose…he’s not going to pitch more than an inning. Wonder what his stats are like against the Phillies.
I would be shocked if he goes more than two. Four innings would be 50 to 55 pitches or maybe 60. No way.My gut says we get 4innings out of him. No way the Mets brain trust is pulling Senga out of hibernation for 1 iffy inning. He must have looked pretty damn good. LFGM!
This was addition by subtraction even though he was hitting better 2nd half of year. I would not be surprised if he isn't a Met next year.Has anyone seen Jeff McNeil since he’s been injured ?
I haven’t seen him in the dugout or anywhere.
I’m surprised given how long he’s been with the team and given it’s only a broken hand injury.
Pitching by committee in the first game of a 7 game series is recipe to be down 0-1.I would be shocked if he goes more than two. Four innings would be 50 to 55 pitches or maybe 60. No way.

Pitching by committee in general, against the number 1 starter of any team anytime will get you beat
Isn't this a 5 game series zappaa?Pitching by committee in the first game of a 7 game series is recipe to be down 0-1.

Agree, it is what it is.Not many good options when you play 8 games in the 8 days before the first game of a 7 game series.
Let’s hope we look like the Gashouse Gorillas before Bugs Bunny came in.I'd prefer Peterson to Megill. Frankly, anybody to Megill. If we can't use Peterson, can we use the other Megill and see if anyone notices. Maybe Magilla Gorilla?
Yes, my bad.Isn't this a 5 game series zappaa?
So are you saying forget senga and go to magill or Peterson today?Yes, my bad.
A 5 game series is tough to roll the dice on, but I still think he eats up innings and helps the staff, we shall see.So are you saying forget senga and go to magill or Peterson today?
In any playoff sport, management has competing objectives. On the one hand, it's survive and advance, whatever it takes. But on the other hand, the goal is to win it ALL, which means you have to play the long game.So are you saying forget senga and go to magill or Peterson today?
The ghost fork is a nasty pitch against lefties. My other issue- the first and third batter of the game are lefties?
Simply put; same roster except Senga and Megill for Kranick and Brazoaban.
Given the way at least one of his former Brewer teammates reacted to him, I'm wondering whether Winker's act eventually wears thin in the clubhouse.Random thoughts during yesterday’s off-day. How many helmets can Winker break, before he needs to borrow one? . . .
Great call, you were 100% correct.I would be shocked if he goes more than two. Four innings would be 50 to 55 pitches or maybe 60. No way.
