They would have known sooner had they been listening to Howie.
Have you forgotten how happy you were to get that 6th win and Pinstripe Bowl invite last year ? You shed a gallon of happy tears, rembember ? Schiano’s success outshines everything NYM ever, ain’t that right BEP ?Besides my kids and grandchild being born - and my wedding - and the Mets winning in 86 - I have never been so happy and proud to be a Mets fan !
Monday and Thursday are like dreams !
This doesn’t happen to us !
Good list. I will add a few others which I remember from games which I attended:As Ringo Starr said “ It don’t come easy” for this franchise but how sweet it is when you win !
My top 5 Mets Homers of all time in no order :
Pete tonight
Lindor Monday
Todd Pratt. NLDS Clincher
Dykstra : 86 NLCS vs Astros
Knight : Game 7 Vs Red Sox.
WowDon’t worry Alonso will win it with a clutch 3-run HR. 🤪
No Piazza post 9/11 shot in the top 5? That to me will always be number one.As Ringo Starr said “ It don’t come easy” for this franchise but how sweet it is when you win !

Maybe Senga as an opener? If Senga does make the roster, I believe that is how he will be used, so that he can follow his normal warmup routine.I know where are in euphoria over tonight but it has to asked. Who starts game 1? Severino pitched Tuesday, Manea Wednesday and CQ tonight. Severino on 3 days rest? Bring back Megill? Could Peterson after pitching an inning tonight? I know they'll have Wheeler, Sanchez and Nola all lined up and ready to go.
Yankees-Royals should be playing tonight.Mets-Phillies and Rutgers-Nebraska both on same time on fox channels Saturday
Yeah for some reason MLB doesn't do that. The schedules are fixed in advance, regardless of how long or short the preceding series go.Yankees-Royals should be playing tonight.
Mets-Phillies should have had the Saturday 7 pm start.
Wildcard sweeps contingency😊
Not smart.Yeah for some reason MLB doesn't do that. The schedules are fixed in advance, regardless of how long or short the preceding series go.
Unlike the NBA, which develops its schedules on the fly, based on the preceding results.
You have to be in the top tier of the most miserable human beings to post on this board!Have you forgotten how happy you were to get that 6th win and Pinstripe Bowl invite last year ? I heard it described slightly differently. It was the first time someone hit a HR in the 9th inning of a winner-take-all game that pushed the team from LOSING to LEADING. Guys have hit HRs in the 9th to take the lead in a winner take all game before, but not when trailing at the time. That is an amazing statistic.Pete Alonso first home run in MLB history to win or take the lead in the 9th inning of a win or go home Postseason game.
On Oct.3,1951,the former tenants of the Polo Grounds, the New York Baseball Giants scored 4 in the 9th to win the NL pennant.
I'll see if I can find a link between Thomson and Alonso.
Piazza post 911 homer needs to be somewhere on that list.As Ringo Starr said “ It don’t come easy” for this franchise but how sweet it is when you win !
