OT: 2024 Philadelphia Eagles Season Thread

And the Giants (REALLY THE GIANTS GM) chose to give the money to Daniel Jones instead of Saquon Barkley.

What a hideous contrast watching games.
I think GM started taking SB personally and wanted him off the sports pages in NYC

Great win again a good Washington team that will only get better. They have a bye week and can incorporate Lattimore at safety who they picked up at the trade deadline from NO. I really felt that if Washington won last night, they would have the inside track on winning the division as their schedule is favorable down the stretch. The Eagles schedule isn't overwhelming but they do have the Rams (Jekyll and Hyde), Ravens and Commanders on the road.

Barkey: 95 yards rushing 4.3 yards per pop. Good running back but will never be elite in the NFL
What are your thoughts now? He is on pace to beat the NFL season rushing record and last night had the most yards in a game since 2009. He’s running like he is possessed.

Saquon with 150 yds and 2 TDs - final.
He would need 267 in two games (one the NYGs) to beat record (2,105)

And he will

It would be a pip to see Saquon break 40 yr old rushing record vs the NYGs.
With 29 carries today (19 per game is 2024 avg) I think Eagles are def trying to get SB over the line.
Dallas is other remaining game and SB only had 66 yds on 16 carries in first Dallas game.

In first NYG game SB had 176 yds on 17 carries.
Add 176 to 66 and that gets 242 on 33 carries - just 25 yds short of record.
Throw in another 15-30 carries and he should be good - baring blizzard or something.
NYGs averaging allowing 143 yds rushing per game - Dalls 136.

Dickerson had 379 carries in 16 games in 1984 - Saquon now 343

You can't make this stuff up. Not only was he fired from his job but the Eagles banned him for life. Insulting a woman who was a packers fan and calling her the "C" word. Ironically he worked for a firm that promoted DEI. Too funny!

Seems like an awful human being from the video. Even if that was his lowest moment and he's never acted like that before, actions have consequences.

It seems so silly to have to say this but adult humans should know better than to act like that regardless of how much you love a sports team.

As an Eagles fan I applaud all the negative things coming his way. I'm all for good natured fandom, but personal attacks and threats have no place in civil society.

Saw that video yesterday, that guy has problems. I'm very surprised other Eagles fans didn't jump in given how loudly you could hear him yelling. Regardless, his firing is well deserved.

Ironically, he's married & has a daughter. I wonder how he would feel if they were on the receiving end of his tirade.

NJ dot com will soon have an article "man who works for CEO/Chairman and Rutgers Grad, Randall Pinkett, goes on tirade at the Linc"

I was hoping someone would identify this scum bag, make his name public and he gets everything many think he deserves. I guess wishes do come true.

I don’t condone the behavior, but if I was a gambling man, I’d say there’s a little bit more to the story. The guy filming is a YouTuber who set up a Gofundme to get to the game and hopefully capture the exact behavior in the video.

Kind of agree, The eagles fan got what he deserved, but I also think it is a bad look for the youtuber to stand by and let this guy harass his fiancée like that (at least switch seats with her), but again maybe that is what he was hoping would happen.

Eagle fan so it's to be expected.

Reminds me of the couple from NJ and the homeless guy who were all in on it and got caught.

Look the guys a d*ck, but in Professional football you wear the opposing teams colors in someone's else's home stadium you're just looking for trouble and should expect it. There's a lot of drunken 40 yr. old adolescents at pro games. We got utterly lambasted and never heard so many derogatory remarks when my buddy wore his Giants gear at Mile High and they're tame. Now he was a professional wrestler and 6'5"/300 lbs so he could get away with it, nobody was throwing dukes with him.

wearing Packer gear into Philly for a playoff game is idiotic. on your woman is worse. (as wrong as it is to have to worry about that, the Philly trash is what it is)

i think i saw guy was aware of this also, so makes you wonder

The guy crossed the line for sure but I am partly wondering if I am missing a part of the video- the guy making the low class comment- didn't seem overly loud with it and not all that aggressive except for the words he used. Is there a longer video?
Funny thing- I saw that he either lived in or worked in East Brunswick and my first thought "is he one of our posters?" lol

Yup, same thing when I wore Eagles gear to Giants Stadium back in the day. I’m glad you recognize that this behavior isn’t limited to one fan base. 😎

Had no idea! RU track alum!

Eh, I'm not a fan of any of this. The video was a bad look, no question, but they're just bad words. There was no physical altercation, no one got hurt, and the whole thing is super weird where the husband filmed it instead of defending or sticking up for her. There's definitely footage that's missing.

Was the guy wrong? Yeah. Should he be outed and fired over it? No.

I guess the issue was that he was going at it like that the entire game...what was on video- ehhh yeah, he said a word I never use for any reason but let's face it- calling her ugly is offensive but not all that big of a deal. And his overall demeaner did not seem threatening at all
