I thought I misheard the game’s TV play-by-play guy. FGCU at Michigan State attendance figure - 14797. Checked the box score later and it concurs. That is comparable to us filling the RAC twice. A 6 PM tap on a Sunday night. Wow. Wonder how many are season tickets?

When we were out in Madison for the football game last week, Wisconsin was playing Oshkosh in an exhibition game on Friday night. There were thousands and thousands of people heading into the game and there were scalpers outside selling tickets! These midwest Big 10 schools draw tremendously.

Best of Luck,

Correction. Big-time winning Big 10 basketball teams draw tremendously. MSU and Wisconsin (with the exception of last year) have been at the very top of the conference for the past several years.

There really in no excuse for not being able to sellout a 8000 seat arena with the thousands of people that live within a hours drive of Piscataway.

I believe the B1G has led the NCAA in attendance for decades.

I think that's right. My point was that you usually don't pack them in for an awful non-conference match up unless you are a consistently winning program.

Tickets sold versus actual attendance?
Looked like a seriously large crowd. From TV I would never have guessed 14K, though. That’s a crowd. Must be a shock to Rutgers players to play road games in front of crowds like this.

We are getting lessons in what fan support really means.

You guys do know tickets to these games are like 3 bucks, correct? Rutgers at Wisconsin and Mich State can be had for $6.

Seeing the opposite at Stanford @ North Carolina game. Tons of empty fat cat seats near the court in Chapel Hill. Stanford is not chopmeat.

Losing programs for decades would certainly qualify as an "excuse" , no?

This.

We are about a year away from a ticket at the RAC for a conference game being a hard ticket to get your hands on.

It will only take a bubble team to sell out the RAC on a consistent basis.

Just wondering if other big arenas have seats similar to RU’s 300 nose bleed section.
