OT: Chances of Winning Next 3 Games: > 1 < ∞

We can win 2 of them with a healthy Gio and Martin! The 2 I think we can win will be on the raod which didn't seem to bother us up in Minnesota.

If I was making odds, I would say less than 5 percent (maybe 2-3)!percent of winning all.
10 per cent to win 2
20 percent to win even 1

Narrow path of achieving victory, and it depends on winning Pennsylvania and Michigan (State). That sounds familiar to something that happened last night/early this morning. Was it probable? No. Was it possible? Yup. Rutgers will need everything to go right against Pennsylvania and something to to go wrong for Pennsylvania. Probable? No. Possible? Yup.

My opinion is that our team is just about shot for the rest of the 2016. season. In other words, our best days in 2016 are behind us IMO.

Injuries, lack of play makers, lack of depth, lousy Special teams and an overall lack of talent at the key positions are the major issues this RU team faces.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very hopeful that this team can rebound, but unfortunately I don't see any signs of it. But hope springs eternal. Go RU !

Citing Avogadro's Number: Wow,Twister, great post. Best use of my freshman chemistry class I ever made.

So you're saying there IS a chance.

GO RU.

Can we not have the other team start on the 35 yard line every kickoff? Can we not start inside our 10 yard line five times? Can we CONTINUE to stop the run the way we have, but also get a better push on the OL and be able to run as to not set up 3rd-and-7+ plays? If we can tackle these issues, we have a shot at any of them.

1-in-Avogadro's number comes to mind.
That there's some impressively extreme hyperbole. [laughing]

You're basically saying that our changes of winning the game are roughly 12 to 14 orders of magnitude worse than our chances of winning the least winnable lottery ever.

Let's take these games one at a time. This weeks game will be close. Michigan State is in a downward spiral with a bad Quarterback, a porous Defense and decimated by injuries on both sides of the ball. We are trending up somewhat with the emergence of Gio (if healthy). But can't predict a win until this team shows us that it can win. Hopefully this week. Need Special Teams to play at least adequately. The return of Martin would not hurt the cause either.

Oddest note I've seen on odds, recently -- The Beacon weekly newspaper (Diocese of Paterson, NJ) had an opinion piece that mentioned that the chances for sainthood were better than those of buying a PowerBall lottery ticket that wins the top prize.

When we tell someone they aren't going to win, we're probably more right than at almost any other time we tell someone something. :)
