OT: Devils D-man Moore taken off ice on stretcher

Usually when there's good news you hear about it fairly early. Seems no news is bad news in these situations

Dirty Hit, the Caps player saw Moore's number for a few strides.

I left the game at 5-1 and went to Redds for a few.

Team needs a big shakeup, players and possible coaching.
Agree completely. You see the guy's numbers you pull up. Maybe you mash him to the boards to tie up the puck but you don't put your elbow up and run him at full speed. Did anyone see the fight afterwards? Hoping Wilson got his clock cleaned...

Good to see the player is okay. As per your comment, the Devils were a Mickey Mouse organization before Brodeur and surely look like one again since he retired. Lots of changes are needed.

To bad there's very few Terry O'Reilly/Clark Gillies types around today.
There's plenty of size, but the game has changed and they don't police the ice with the same vigor today.
Clark Gillies scored 40 goals and was so feared the opposition took no liberties on Trots or Bossy...Wilson would have a broken jaw and miss a month if Gillies was reincarnated as a Devil last night

So true. Gary Bettman has orchestrated the complete pussification of hockey.

Let's be clear, I agree Wilson saw the numbers...but Moore has got to protect himself behind his own net, you play the game with body awareness 100% of the time.
Moore made himself vulnerable and you can't do that.

I think you're forgetting Stevens, Neidermayer, Guerin, Daneyko, Lemieux, Gionta and Gomez to name a few

Bettman's NHL is a pacified game now, nowhere as entertaining as it was in the 80s/90s/through 2004.

Pretty much the case in every sport. Part of it is the millennial generation. Part of it is the money involved compared with 20-25 years ago and part of it is the whole concussion business.

Didn't see the play, but once I saw Caps and dirty hit into the boards I knew it was Wilson. Guy is pure scum.

Glad to hear Moore is doing well.

I am interested in hearing your explanation on how millennials are ruining sports. The main reason why there are more rules to protect players is because we are more aware of long-lasting effects of multiple concussions than we used to be, and because players are bigger, faster, and stronger than ever before.
