Nice to see someone adding real Christmas music, agree with you that the new music is lacking

I'm with you. Give me Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, and Perry Como over any of the new stuff. The kid in me still loves Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.

That is a really good version! The fact that they are an a capella group makes it more impressive.
Yeah, I normally am not much of a fan of Christmas music, but that arrangement is pretty cool. I like a few of the others I'd never heard about until this thread too.

I generally dislike Christmas music but do like the following a lot;

Little Drummer Boy (Bowie/Crosby)
Please Come Home for Christmas (Eagles)
2,000 Miles (Pretenders)
New York City Christmas (Rob Thomas)
Auld Lang Syne (Fogelberg)

Not my all time favorite, but
1) it's basically the strokes
2) it reminds me of all the Christmas songs from the 80's that I love
3) I always liked the skit on SNL

"I Saw Mommy KissingSanta Claus," John Prine
We Three Kings of Orient Are," The Roches
"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," The Pretenders

Do you hear what I hear is my favorite.

there are so many great Christmas Songs just depends on the rendition Here is a great rendition of Oh Holy Night by Morissette:

The whole Jonny Mathis Merry Christmas album.

Father Christmas by The Kinks is my all-time favorite non-traditional Christmas song. My "new" favorite, meaning it was released within the past five years, is this one by the Dropkick Murphys. A great singalong with hilarious lyrics.

I really enjoy this one by Robert Earl Keen, too.

That DKM song is great.

Agree totally - love the religious songs even though I’m a nonbeliever.
One song I absolutely hate is Little Drummer Boy. Not too crazy about Dominick the Donkey either.
