OT: Fear The Walking Dead

Not sure if anyone else continued with the series but this past Sunday's two hour season Finale was pretty good. For the first time I felt that Fear had the same feeling as The Walking Dead.

Now its time to get ready for the new season of The Walking Dead on October 23 and see who it is.

I liked this season. My patience paid off. The first season was pretty good but wasn't thrilled with season 2

the last half of the season was way better. almost gave up early on. disappointed in one of the deaths, or could be deaths. not going to spoil it.

It got a lot better in the second half of season two. Still a few kinks to work out, but there was more drama. I loved the hotel stuff a few weeks ago.

...but I thought the season finale was disappointing.

Why would the people go to kill Travis if they knew the consequences were getting tossed out of the hotel? Did they think they were above their own law? Were they going to kill Madison, Alicia, and Strand after Travis to cover their tracks? I understand their anger, but that was completely irrational and against a code of conduct they agreed to live under. It felt like they just had to wrap up the story line because the actors weren't returning next season.

Why did Travis crash through the gate leaving the hotel when they weren't being pursued (or did I miss something)? There were two potential issues with that action. First they left the hotel in an unsecured state and second he could have damaged his vehicle to the point where they couldn't drive it.

They drove thru the gate because they killed those people in the hotel room and were high tailing it out of there. Leaving the hotel's gates open didn't affect them anymore, they were out of there! But not sure why Strand remained at the hotel. They split these people up so they don't have to use them all in every episode but it gets old. They always find each other which is a needle in the haystack!

Wish the hot mexican chick wasn't killed, lol.

I tried, but they lost me this season. I was really hoping they'd spend more time on the world and society falling apart, but they seemed to speed right past it to become TWD Mexico. TWD evolved to become a show about the people in this post-zombie world, FTWD fast forwarded right to that point. I haven't watched the last 3 eps so maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong, but that's just how the show lost me.
