Here is this kid on the 18th green drooling since he knows that he is going to be drinking milk from the US Open trophy in few minutes. How many here has had their dad one putt away from winning the most prestigious spotting event in the world?
The kid's grandpa is telling him not to worry. I even heard him say, "Your grandpa can make that putt with is hockey stick at this age." I believe his grandpa. But it was not to be. A putter is like a trophy wife. You can't count her to be faithful.
I shed few tears when this kid had to witness his dad choke in front of the entire world. I hope the PGA has a program where they can get this kid into therapy. He will need it.
It was the saddest ending to a US Open. I immediately turned off my TV and went to sleep I didn't even want to watch Holly Sanders (with her very short skirt) interviewing Dustin and comforting him. I just was not in the mood for such "pornography."
I like Dustin Johnson.. He should have five majors by now. That's how good a golfer he is. Now he has to explain to his son for the rest of his life, "I could have been a champion."
