OT: Ghost at Disneyland??

I am having trouble in limiting an individual to like as there is no group button.
Sorry i was away and did not engage in the verbal joust but I urge all to continue.
While not football there is a lot of serious repartee within these posts and its one of the " more fun " posts i have seen since i got here

Man, I almost missed this thread. Ghosts ? Really ?
Great stuff from LevaosLectures, RU848789, and Willis.
NewJerseyGuy and jor22.....seek help. Or at least read The End Of Faith by Sam Harris.

You should also read God Is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens

Just read a related article on Scientific American. This excerpt reminded me of this thread.

Just because we have no evidence of another realm of reality beyond the physical world, how can we conclude it doesn’t exist?

It’s not a matter of certainty, ever. I would make the argument that if there were a supernatural element that played a role in our everyday life in some noticeable way, it’s very, very likely we would have noticed it. It just seems weird that this kind of thing would be so crucial and yet so difficult to notice in any controlled scientific way. I would make the case that it is sufficiently unlikely in a fair Bayesian accounting that we don’t need to spend any time thinking about it anymore. Five hundred years ago it would have been a possibility. I think these days we’re ready to move on.

All I can say at the end of the day is we should all be trying as hard as we can to guard against our individual cognitive biases, the things we want to be true. The existence of life after death, for example, I would love that to be true. My cognitive bias is in favor of that. And yet I don’t think it is true. The best we can do is try to be honest

Well, since he's obviously slated to burn in hell for all eternity, he might not want there to actually be an afterlife. :>)

Dawkins suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in February. He's expected to recover fully. If you love biology, his The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution is a wonderful read. It breaks my heart that evolution is so grossly misunderstood and willfully misrepresented. It is the real magic of the real world.

The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution is also a favorite of mine.
You can't possibly read these books and still think that a bearded old magician in the sky is responsible for the wonder all around us.

If you'd like to debate evolution, I'd be more than willing. Showing a video from Ray Comfort doesn't help your cause. Comfort clearly doesn't understand evolution, or is intentionally deceitful. He's a joke who teaches children lies like "crocoducks" should exist according to evolution.

I've heard enough of Ray Comfort over the years and didn't get past 5 minutes where he tried to prove there is no direct evidence of evolution by asking random people on the street for examples. There is plenty of evidence of speciation.

Or that he'd want you to pray to him....or slit a goat's throat in his "honor".

I know I will get skewered for this...But I have a video my daughter took one night in her room while doing a snap chat video on her phone in the dark, just with the light on her phone, that will completely change the most rational mind about the existing of spirits or 'angels"...I have NEVER shared this video on any social media, nor will I ever, its just too personal, and something we want to keep to ourselves as a family..But I will say, as someone who is spiritual, but always doubtful of anything pertaining to these type of things, I am convinced there is a spirit life. It exists..

You're kidding, right ?
[laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing]

BTW, what exactly do you mean when you say "as someone who is spiritual" ?
And how does that differ from someone who is "gullible" ?
