OT: GoFundMe for Medical Expenses

Not that simple. I moved back from Cali to Florida. Worker's comp screwed me in California and wouldn't cover my back. So yeah. I am disabled with two herniated discs in my back 6mm and 4mm in size, L5-S1 and L4-L5. I'm doing my best here. It was a mistake posting here.
When you moved did you notify your workers comp lawyer? Your caseworker? Your doctor? If you haven’t this may be why you are having issues getting the care you need.

I was told I was not eligible for Medicaid, though I have no idea why, I should qualify. It's either a tendon in my foot or broken but they'll charge me over $1,000 for a visit and I simply cannot afford that right now. I am in Florida currently. If I were in California I could get the care I need.

I'm also in a very rural town, Chipley, which has very little resources, if any. I've tried. Hence why I set this up. Thanks to those who have donated, it's appreciated. I just want to reach the goal and then shut it down.

I also have BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) which is a part of this. There are no mental health resources here, and I need counseling because my functioning is pretty low.

Again thanks to all and thanks for the advice, I will be sure to follow it.
Chipley has a hospital, Northwest Florida Community Hospital, with an emergency room that, according to the hospital, has a very short waiting time. https://www.nfch.org/ For those who don't know, Chipley is a little town in the Florida panhandle. It is so far west that Alabama is the nearest neighboring state.

YoUnG, just a couple of thoughts. Your feelings of being overwhelmed right now are totally understandable. Wanting to just feel normal is a problem in itself. Just reading all of this thread is stressful. First off, as people have already said get to the ER ASAP. They can help you separate, and prioritize your issues. Tell them you need a case worker to help you get all the services you need both with your medical, and mental health problems. I have no idea of Florida's regs. Also, if there is anyone you know relative/friend do ASK them for help.
Get some healthy food, and sleep. Going to school when you are this stressed out may be to much also. If needed get started on recommended medications. Take care, and you have got to get a case manager/social worker to help navigate all the b.shit systems.

Thank you all so much. Your gratitude will not be forgotten.

I went to the doctor today (manage to go somewhere with a sliding scale.) He was surprisingly a very good doctor (this area doesn't have too many of those.)

I went there with my Lumbar Spine MRI report. The problem is my lower back and it's shooting down, spasming into my feet, legs, etc. I'm going to need surgery. So not sure what I'm going to do right now, but, I'll try to make the best of it. He referred me to a pain management specialist who does a sliding scale in Dothan AL which isn't too far away, so hopefully, that can help in the short-term. But long-term I'm going to need surgery as my lower spine is in really bad shape. At this point, I wish my foot were broken.

Thanks again everyone and sorry if I got short-tempered, it's just a frustrating situation. The money from the gofundme will go towards getting this fixed. It can't go towards surgery and I will not up the amount, but, yeah.

Thanks again.
