Got this e-mail from Met Life. Good luck Notre Dame? I thought Syracuse was the home team?
When Rutgers played at the Meadowlands, did they send out "Good Luck Rutgers" e-mails?

Notre Dame vs. Syracuse Football

MetLife Stadium

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will battle the Ohio State Buckeyes
in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year's Day!

Notre Dame is 2-3 all-time against Ohio State.
We wish the Fighting Irish the best of luck in their quest to tie up the series!

Secure your seat for Notre Dame's only northeast appearence in 2016! The Syracuse Orange will face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the New York College Classic at MetLife Stadium on Saturday, October 1, 2016.

Notre Dame and Syracuse last met in 2014 in the New York College Classic at MetLife Stadium. The Irish took a 4-3 lead in the series with a 31-15 victory in that game.

...the Meadowlands people and I have VERY different definitions of the word 'classic'.

Think they were wishing them good luck in the bowl game (not against Cuse) as a means to market next year's game to loyal ND Alum who they know are more likely to fill the stadium than Syracuse.

Well, they can't very well wish Syracuse luck in their bowl game, and let's face it, out of the two teams, ND is the draw Oct 1st...
