Anyone start watching this new show?
Thought this show had a lot of potential with the 1970s rock scene based in nyc . Seemed like a pretty cool and exciting storyline . However, the first 2 episodes weren't that great. All over the place . Show is missing something so far IMO . Hoping it gets better .

Looking forward to watching it, but waiting for the first season to end. I'm spoiled by binge streaming and just can't stomach the whole 1 episode per week crap anymore.

I'm willing to give it some time. I think there's potential just gotta take the "build-up" somewhere quick IMHO.

Did the 1st 2 seasons of Black Sails in a weekend and now am going nuts with The Borgias.

Very disappointed so far, but I'll keep it at it in hopes that I start to get it.

didn't see the second episode yet but I thought the pilot was great...not sure what you guys didn't see in that

Vinyl hasn't hooked me yet, but I'll hang in there. So far none of the characters are very interesting, or likeable. The scene at The Limelight, where the ceiling collapses to the NY Dolls on stage is so far the best .

I binged on the new Judd Apatow comedy , season 1 of "Love" , a very good comedy. Must be the same writers as Knocked Up and 40 Year Old Virgin.

I thought the pilot, which was 2 hours, was definitely all over the place. Episode 2 was more steady. Seems to be somewhat cliched, though.

I agree. Cliche is a good word. It feels like it's all stuff we've seen before in one form or another. The music is good

It's....ok, I guess. Meh. One thing I know for damn sure is that it sure as hell isn't worth pushing the start of Game of Thrones back a month.

I think it's pretty good so far. A little "too Scorsese" at times but the characters are good and the backstory is interesting. To me it's somewhat like "Almost Famous" but from the record company's perspective. I will keep watching.

Scene at Plato's Retreat kept me from sleeping. Lead actor is a dud though and Jagger could have casted better. Appreciate the NY 70's scene since I spent those years in San Fran. Whole different celebration and devolution.

They should have just done a series about the NY Dolls and made the whole thing more realistic. I'm waiting for House of Lies and Ray Donovan to come around again....thank God for John Oliver. * Looks like Harry Potter's reflection in a shiny door knob. Too much...

Enjoyed the pilot and episode one. Lot of stage setting. Really captured the 70's feel of the City, the way I remembered it, including a dead on Plato's Retreat and Andy Warhol scene. Great casting. Hardly recognized Dice Clay. Bo Deitl bascally played himself. I am in love with Olivia Wilde. The lead, Bobby Cannevale, is a Hudson County kid that was great in Boardwalk. This series has so much horsepower and talent behind it, I would be surprised if it didn't succeed.

Was expecting behind the scenes rock and roll with the artists, private jets, tons of women and partying and instead, it's the typical Scorsese crew, this time set in a record company, same feel, bribes, strong arming, fights, murder....all been done, over and over.

Disappointed.
