Just started at Everton - crowd is insane. This match-up has produced the most yellow cards in the Premier League. These teams do not like each other. Worth throwing on the tellie.
Agree with this. At times (not recent), Barkley looked like an offensive threat who's fearless and creative going forward but lately he looks like a physical goon who can't figure out how to be effective. Kind of like David Luiz or Jack Wilshere. Player like Barkley needs a top coach to get the best out of him - is he an attacking center mid, holding center mid, or possibly a center back? And yes, he should have been given a straight red - his spikes were up and he could have caused major injury. I thought Coleman played very well though.Barkley looks like a very frustrated player. He was a young rising star in England but has become an after thought on the England team now. He has to get out of Everton to refresh his career. He has talent.

BTW, I know it's the Merseyside Derby - I've actually been to the game at Anfield. Not sure how many people on the board would know that and I didn't want to look like a snobby DB.
I'd counter that and believe he could be a very good box to box guy...kinda in the mold of the guy who used to play across town, Gerrard (at least later in his career)To me he is best suited for attacking mid.
