It's Pete, but I know what you meant.This is an example of the issue Rutgers has of no traditional legacy. Mike Cancro was looking to go out of state to college. He may also have religious or family that help him align to Notre Dame. When he was growing up and developing his allegiances, Rutgers was a joke. Now that he is older her may have a soft spot for his state school but when it is time to put up his money he goes to the perennial safe bet. In some ways it is like a sponsor choosing between the Red Bulls or Yankees. Even in a down year the Yankees have more marketing juice then the best year for the Red Bulls. * The same can be said for Rutgers where even if Rutgers went 11-1 the juice may not be as great as a 9-3 Notre Dame nationally.
