OT: Kentucky fans call for Wimsatt to start

As it should be. AK is proving he's not the answer ( at least it has looked that way the last two games)
Surprising take from you. Throw out Nebraska. Both QBs had poor numbers in extremely windy and hot conditions. Raiola was under 50% passing when he is usually in the mid 70s. Raiola had fewer passing yards in the second half than their punter.
Yes, the Wisconsin game was concerning, but to conclude "he's not the answer" is premature (and you kind of covered yourself with "looked that way").
If he craps the bed the next 2 games, I'm with you.
Frankly, hoped he had found another QB in the portal. AK was too easy of a move for RU. Wonder if they tried for others and had to settle on AK.

AK isn't the answer if the passing game has to carry the offense.
He's a complementary piece to keep the opposing D from keying too much on the running game .
We can point out the opponent's QB's game , but how AK played is what matters and overcoming
the weather is part of what experienced QBs are expected to do of they are to be considered a good one.
AK is a serviceable QB that can't take over a game and one that will limit mistakes and is expected to be good enough to make the opposition respect RU's passing game enough do the running game has a chance to do a lot of damage.
Against Nebraska and Wisconsin Rutgers passing game didn't do the job and the running game couldn't
play its best.
AK shouldn't be given a pass just because the true freshman playing for the opponant had a bad game to because of weather conditions
He needs to step up and use his experience in every situation for Rutgers to have a chance of beating good teams .

GW would have given us a better chance to win vs Nebraska. Wisconsin was a lost cause, Rutgers played very poorly all around.

Frankly, you are way off base on the Nebraska game. I was there. It was hotter than hell in the stands, and it was hotter on the field. Sustained 20-25 mph winds with gusts 35-40 mph.
True Freshman? Ha, ha. He has a 67% completion percentage (including the Rutgers game) but completed only 48% in the Rutgers game. That tells you something- the conditions were unfavorable for a passing game.

Everyone wants air raid but a solid ground and pound works too.

True.
But any offensive system could work.
It's about feasibility.

If you told me, Rutgers could go 10-2 running the ball 60 times a game, smash mouth football in the Big Ten against PSU, OSU, UM (normally) and Oregon sign me up!
Run all the meathead boring plays you want!

But how feasible is that?
We've been trying it for 10 years.
All we hear is how we don't have the talent to compete and never will.

Okay - so wouldn't we need an offense that accounts for that?
Just because something works for someone else doesn't mean it'll work for us.

The problem is many (perhaps even HC Schiano also) have a predisposed notion of how the offense "should" look and don't care about feasibility or likelihood of success in our particular situation.

I sit here and just wish GW had gotten his accuracy together because we would be 6-0 right now at Rutgers , GW would have been lights out and we would not have so many injuries on defense . makes me so mad but we still have AJ who can run and pass with accuracy so next season is his to take , come on kid .
