OT: Morris County lawyer who doesn't require a consultation fee

Ha. All we can tell from the OP is that you need legal advice, and don't really want to pay. Not off to a good start.

You sound like the people who literally call in to our office, to have us do work and find them a new rental, but when are told they have to pay a "fee" are in shock lol!

OP is definitly a Rutgers fan. Another one of our big donors yet another example of why we pay peanuts to coach's yet have fans who want to compete with the best with pennies on the dolla.

Lincoln had a quote that went something like this, "A lawyers stock and trade is advice". I am not a big fan of lawyers but this is what they get paid for.

I don't have anyone good in that space. Frankly, there are not a lot of good one's out there. Good luck finding someone. Just so you know, even if you have to resort to google, most lawyers in that area (and most lawyers in general) will not charge you for an initial consultation.

If you have to ask about that, when you call the office, either don't say anything, or ask at the end of the call if they bill for the "initial meeting." Lawyers get pretty used to people who "just have a quick question" and are trying to set up an "initial consult" to have their questions answered, and have no intent of ever hiring the lawyer. When you lead with things indicating you don't want to pay, busy lawyers (read good lawyers) will get turned off -- because that is a real signal to us that the person is a chiseler. Those are the same people who wind up being clients that try to negotiate their bill.

Any suggestions for a good lawyer in Morris County who does not require a consultation fee?

Sorry, forgot to user the OT in the thread title.

I saw you were looking for an attorney for a work place injury. My practice is in that area of the law, although I handle the other side of the dispute usually. If you contact me by email, ghechtlaw@yahoo.com, I can discuss and probably refer to someone who may be able to assist. For a workers' compensation matter, (employee injured on the job), you should NEVER have to pay any attorney for an initial consultation, as it is against the law to charge fees up front for this type of case. Good luck

Had to use this guy- a bit eccentric but knows everyone...
Orlando Balcacer- I don't have his contact info anymore but you can google him. Same type of situation

Is that a serious recommendation? Based on these links it appears he has been disciplined and suspended, more than once:

Damn- wasn't aware. This was quite a while back...he worked some magic...oh well, glad I haven't needed a criminal lawyer in quite a while...thanks for checking that. I didn't even think to check.

Though, the workers comp lawyers I know are very highly recommended...and recent
