There was another media report out of B12 country that was suggesting Nebraska and Colorado wanted back in the vitamin conference. I cannot put much stock in this. Nebraska hated the way Texas ran the conference. They also got screwed in their last championship game where Suh went wild. I just cannot see them going back to that madness even though they lost their Texas recruiting pipeline when they left.

Who would the B10 add as a replacement?
- Kansas (weak football but strong hoops)
- UVA (weak football but strong hoops)
- Notre Dame
- Missouri - they are not leaving the SEC

not sure if there are any other states connected to B10 states with decent schools

I'll give a different viewpoint. I think Nebraska would be willing to re-enter B-12...Texas no longer has the swagger that they did 5-10 years ago and Nebraska lost its rival game with OKlahoma. That would be like Ohio State losing their game with Michigan. So I can make a case that their fans are not thrilled in the Big ten. I'd like to hear from Huskersalways on this.

In this scenario, Oklahoma would stay...

That is a fair take on the situation. Texas and Nebraska also have new AD's so maybe some of the animosity between them is gone but B1G is stable and B12 not. Plus they could go back and still not have the OU game if OU left.

I'll trade Vanderbilt for Nebraska any day. Oops it wouldn't be a trade...but i would want that and I bet the school presidents would too.

Maybe some Nebraska fans feel that they will never win another chanpionship again which is probably true. This would happen in the Big Ten or Big 12. I Don't think they really would do well against so many spread offense and would be lower rated or bottom of the pack. They are lucky to be in the Western division. I didn't know they had the second most national championship at 5 behind Alabama but that was 20 years ago. Another team like Penn State and Syracuse thinking about the glory days 20-40 years ago.

alledgedly Chris lambert,a big WVU guy who is into expansion,on social media, started this as a false story ..and a joke..and all these wannabees ,picked up the fake story.

Must be a boring and quiet time time to cover sports in the Chicago area. Bears suck, Northwestern isnt good. Good job at that radio guy for making sh*t up to get attention.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

"Texas and OU have agreed in terms with the Big Ten to begin play to begin play in 2 years."
"I was told Rutgers has no shot at Big Ten membership and aren't even on a "short list."

...so many people in this world completely full of shit and, shockingly, they make money being as such.

Mr. Lambert should be worried about where WVU ends up when the B12 implodes. A story this morning on B12 expansion reports that OU and UT have no interest in expanding the B12 GOR beyond its expiration in 8 years. If those two leave the B12 is finished as a P5.

FYI;
IF Nebraska wanted back in,and IF OU wanted to leave that would cause Texas to bolt in two minutes ..both would wind up in B10.

I would imagine that many Nebraska fans liked the proximity of Iowa State, K-State, Kansas, and Missouri in the Big XII. As it is, Iowa and Minnesota are somewhat close, and other games are much, much further away.

Nebraska will always have enough money, so the incremental Big Ten dollars vs Big Twelve probably matter less there than at many other schools.

At the time that there were reported rumors that 2 former Big 12 schools wanted back in, the Nebraska AD tweeted about how proud Nebraska is for being a part of the B1G. This is more BS by some radio talk show clown who has nothing better to talk about than conference realignment.

And I'm sure there are plenty of Nebraska fans who yearn for the good old days when Nebraska was dominating (or 1 of 2 programs) their conference. Not so easy in the B1G.

They're not going anywhere.

today from CBS sports..
http://www.cbssports.com/college-fo...grant-of-rights-extension-ranking-candidates/

Big 12 expansion losing momentum: No grant of rights extension, ranking candidates.
The Big 12 is not expected to extend its grant of rights -- the contract that essentially keeps the conference together -- no matter the outcome of expansion talks, CBS Sports has learned.

Multiple sources through the expansion process have mentioned that, forTexas and Oklahoma alone, it is difficult to find support to extend the grant of rights past its expiration in 2025.

The Big 12 is dead man walking. They f'd up when Louisville was begging out of the Big East and the B12 thought they would do fine with ten teams.

The Longhorn network also makes this talk silly. This was a major reason for Nebraska leaving in the first place.

That was a pretty huge failure. Louisville would be the only thing keeping that conference relevant this year. Well, that and the embarrassingly public parade of misfits vying for membership.

The only reaction worthy of that worthless twatter...

Delaney will be ton by 203

Delaney will be gone by 2023. Why continue working with all his money?

Per Tom Luicci--"Hobbs resigns,Gruninger is coming back". That means we are headed back to the Eastern Eight for hoops and we can rekindle football rivalries with Maine,Colgate,Richmond,Princeton, etc. YES !!!!!!!
