Weak reply on both counts. You can do better.Who's fragile again? LOL

My God, you guys win the Superbowl once and the way you talk you would think the Eagles were a dynasty since the beginning of time. Face it, you're historically a below .500 franchise. It's like Rutgers fans talking sh*t to Ohio St. fans. It just doesn't work.Weak reply on both counts. You can do better.
I'm not part of a fanbase with the inferiority complex. Sorry.Weak reply on both counts. You can do better.
Listen, go through the thread again. I was merely pointing out how these threads routinely turn out butt hurt Giants fans in droves. I wasn't talking about anything on the field. My God, you guys win the Superbowl once and the way you talk you would think the Eagles were a dynasty since the beginning of time. Face it, you're historically a below .500 franchise. It's like Rutgers fans talking sh*t to Ohio St. fans. It just doesn't work.
Please. I don't have any kind of an inferiority complex. It's sports, get over yourself.I'm not part of a fanbase with the inferiority complex. Sorry.
Have I seen stupidity in my years as a Giants season ticket holder? You bet. Around me though it always seemed to be from the guy(s) just there for that particular game.
They could have been Giants fans or visiting ones but I don't recall ever seeing an incident STARTED by the people I grew up around.
No Giant fan in the thread seems to be concerned about OUR behavior and the need to defend/explain/justify it.Please. I don't have any kind of an inferiority complex. It's sports, get over yourself.
That's because it's the same members of the complaint club chiming in. Not justifying anyone's behavior, just not buying some of the stories, which seem to be embellished more with each thread on this subject. No Giant fan in the thread seems to be concerned about OUR behavior and the need to defend/explain/justify it.
Alcohol can do it to all of us. And towards the end I noticed it more from the day trippers than the regulars. So much so the night game became a Jet game in blue, if ya know what I mean. LOL
In other news, arrests and court cases in Philly are predicted to significantly decrease this fall. Also, no horses will be punched.
That's true.Met Life is just terrible. I've been disappointed in that place from the get-go.
We have many great fans but also some total losers here and there just like every fan base. Philly though compared to others just seems to take it to another level. They seem to have more lowlifes and their low is just lower than others. They also have many super fans of course. Maybe raiders fans are worse overall - I could buy that.
In your lifetime, how many times have you ever heard of people throwing snowballs at Santa Clause? That's why it has the longevity, because people simply don't do it. Well except Eagles fans.
Yes that was quite frustrating navigation going from Giants stadium to the new Eyesore. I remember quite a few curse words being screamed as I stared at a wall. Then trying to find someone to tell me how to navigate this elaborate mouse trap they designed.
Yep, I just made this up....That's because it's the same members of the complaint club chiming in. Not justifying anyone's behavior, just not buying some of the stories, which seem to be embellished more with each thread on this subject.
People like you who refer to the Eagles as "you guys" and likely refer to your team us "we" and "us" are pathetic. Yea, get riled up about two football teams, neither of which you play for or know any members of. This thread had nothing at all to do with on-field performance. Are you seriously saying that, because the team you root for has more super bowl wins than the team he roots for, you are more able to talk about topics like stadiums and attendance? Sweet logic. My God, you guys win the Superbowl once and the way you talk you would think the Eagles were a dynasty since the beginning of time. Face it, you're historically a below .500 franchise. Linc > MetLife by a lotPeople like tou who refer to the Eagles as "you guys" and likely refer to your team us "we" and "us" are pathrtic. Yea, get riled up about two football teams, neither of which you play for or know any members of. This thread had nothing at all to do with on-field performance. Dude you need therapy. Let it go. Resorting to memes now...Yep, I just made this up....
Yup, and that's why these threads are useless. Group therapy for Giants fans more than anything else.No worse than any other fans. Just a shortcut for the media and the uninformed to make "evil philly fans" a story. Any group of 40K mostly drunk sports fans will have their share of A-Holes.
What in the hell are you mumbling about? So you don't get riled up for your sports team? When Rutgers plays psu you calmly sit in your seat and give a golf clap? Or exclaim good form chaps? Cut the bullsh*t, if you weren't a huge fan, why are you on a Rutgers sports forum.People like you who refer to the Eagles as "you guys" and likely refer to your team us "we" and "us" are pathetic. I did, so they took out their frustration on a stand in Santa Claus(the real one never made it) because the team sucked 2-12 and ownership failed to clear the stands of snow. What I found interesting in the article I read, even Chad Peterson admitted to getting batteries thrown at him as a visiting fan.Do a little more research into the Santa event.
I thought Eagles fans only booed Santa Clause and Giants fans hit that San Diego Chargers equipment guy with an ice ball?In your lifetime, how many times have you ever heard of people throwing snowballs at Santa Clause? That's why it has the longevity, because people simply don't do it. Well except Eagles fans.
As I said earlier in the thread and the video says here in this case it was mostly non season ticket holders.I thought Eagles fans only booed Santa Clause and Giants fans hit that San Diego Chargers equipment guy with an ice ball?

As for the we and us, yes whenever my teams suck I take ownership of our suckidness. However when they do good I always refer to them, as Rutgers is good or the Giants are good. Just something I've always done. For example: we suck or we can't get a 1st down, we need a new head coach. Or they're doing good, I can't believe they scored a touchdown.
And how in the hell did you reach the conclusion at the end. Your thought process simply astounds me.
What is that? an Eagles fan throwing up or eating manuer? if the latter... that is gross.Yep, I just made this up....
Just going with what I’ve seen first hand.No worse than any other fans. Just a shortcut for the media and the uninformed to make "evil philly fans" a story. Any group of 40K mostly drunk sports fans will have their share of A-Holes.
I would amend what you said slightly. I don't think Philly has more lowlifes. I think the number of lowlifes is the same, proportionally, as many other cities. I think Philly's lowlifes are just worse because they're proud of it. They enjoy being fake tough guys and think it's ok to physically fight over whether the team you root for is better than the team I root for, which is ridiculous.
I've been going to games in Philly for almost 40 years and 95%+ of the fans are pretty normal fans. But that 5% gives everyone else a bad name because they're morons who can't help themselves.
You take ownership of a team's losses? A team you're not a part of?
And to answer your question, when Rutgers plays Penn State I stand and cheer. And when we lose, I drive home and forget about it within an hour. I have a pretty fulfilling life, so I don't live and die with sports teams who wouldn't know it if I didn't exist. Sure, I enjoy watching them play, and I like it more when they play well and win. But I can't say I've judged someone by the teams they root for, and I certainly don't let someone get under my skin by saying their team won more super bowls back in the day than my team.
All the hate probably stopped for me when my buddies and I went out to Penn State for a game and had our best experience of any road game we've attended. Their fans were absolutely wonderful to us pregame in the lot and postgame at the bars. True story...we had 2 unpleasant run ins there, and both were with Rutgers fans. Right there, I kinda figured the hate for people we don't even know is pretty silly.
I look forward to going back. It's amazing how showing up there without any animosity made things so much better for us.It's easy to be nice to visiting fans when the game is never in question.
With Greg back, let's see how the post game bars are far RU fans at Pen St after a Rutgers win
Brain Cloud
It's crazy how one dumbass eating horse crap somehow defines an entire fanbase, or a 'Santa' story from 60 years ago gets brought up regularly among the media as if it's every day behavior but when things happen in other cities like beer bottles being thrown on the field, visiting team fans being killed in the parking lot, or fans running onto the field to attack players/fans it never gets brought up again after the initial reporting...
No it doesn't have a higher % at all. If Met fan ran on the field half naked only those in attendance would know. If it happened in Philly it would be discussed all day on WFAN.The difference is that in the "City of Brotherly Love" this crap happens again and again and again. These aren't one off fans. Philadelphia clearly has a higher percentage of fans who are absolute animals. It's that simple.
So two days ago the city says specifically no fans in the stands for Eagles or Phillies games. The next day the city revised its statement saying, what we meant was public gatherings which did not include the stadium. So basically the Eagles and/or the NFL called the city saying WTF are you doing, back up, and we'll have fans if we want to.
As someone else said, let’s see what happens when it’s a real game.I look forward to going back. It's amazing how showing up there without any animosity made things so much better for us.
Exhibit A. So was this post necessary? You can look in today's NY Post and find plenty of stories about NYers as wackos and criminal.Wonder if these three are Eagles fans? (Sorry, saw headline Philadelphia):

Because right in the article it says the flight was to Philadelphia. :)Exhibit A. So was this post necessary? You can look in today's NY Post and find plenty of stories about NYers as wackos and criminal.
True. So we are just going to post bad//odd things that Philadelphia like it doesn't happen anywhere else.Because right in the article it says the flight was to Philadelphia. :)
