College basketball is wild. I watched Northwestern beat Purdue on this court a couple weeks ago
It is really sad that the 25th ranked team has this type of attendance tonight. I have heard more noise in a HS gym.

Yes they said that but its still inexcusable for a good team. Our stonehill game will draw way more.
Proof positive that an enthusiastic home crowd means something.
That arena was downright depressing due to the lack of fans.

For disclosure purposes. I have seen Stonehill play and they are awful. We should win by 30 minimally. Cliff should have 12 dunks.

This isn't really a surprise, Wesley Cardet had 30 points and his game is probably today, 2 years out of HS, where Ace Bailey is on tape. He had high major offers, committed to Sanford to be "the primary option", then transferred to Chicago State.

Chicago State looked good, like it wasn’t a fluke. Tough D, tough on the boards, and they made shots.
They actually won it at the foul line. Near the end both teams had taken 20 foul shots, and ChiSt made 18 while NW only made 13.
I thought NW should have pressed but they gave ChiSt plenty of room to run their offense, which I found surprising.

Seemed like an easy fix. Turn up the pressure. Chicago State had one guy with a handle. Bad night for Collins.
If you told me Cardet was on Chicago State, I would have absolutely taken the 27 points and ran with it.
He's clearly the best player on the floor vs Northwestern.
If you asked me, who is the player of the year for the B1G, I would also tell fans here that it's really Dawson Garcia of Minnesota and that Garcia is better than Zach Edey. But thats how CBB is these days.

I watched the entire second half. Indeed, it was a well-played game.
If both teams were wearing nondescript uniforms, you would have never known one was a nationally-ranked B1G team and the other was the only independent D1 team in the country.
