There were 4-5 bald eagles feeding on something over off Homestead Road in Hillsborough a week or so ago.
If it was snow you would have 2 feet of snow and a #'s thread 50 pages long of inaccurate NWS maps from him and arguments from everyone. Count you blessings 😁

Interesting, I measured 2 5/8 inches of rain, and the measurements around my location dovetail almost exactly with that: 2.56, 2.33, 2.56, 2.80, 2.72, 2.57.
I don't normally do rainstorm threads, unless they're associated with tropical storms/hurricanes, as most regular rainstorms aren't as threatening, although this one did turn out to produce some record rainfall amounts of 3-4" in many spots (and a few locations reported 4-5"), including the daily record for any day in March "in Philly (3.06") and 3.66" in Central Park, which was the 3rd wettest March rainfall there. Flooding was mostly minor to a bit moderate in most spots and winds weren't generally at advisory levels, plus there were no t-storms with damaging winds. The radar estimate is below and a list of record rainfall amounts in the region from DonS. on American Wx. There was also 1-2 feet of snow in much of interior New England and NY, especially at the higher elevations - great for spring skiing. Could be another big storm on Friday, with snow possibly not far NW of 95...

Anything is possible, but the radar composite I posted only has ~3" or so in that area, which is consistent with the NWS-NYC reports below; perhaps the gauge is flawed in some way. The NWS-Philly reports are below those...

The coastal flood advisories were converted to warnings for the NJ coast from Middlesex down to Cape May as a new low is meandering well to our SE, producing a consistent on shore fetch (plus it's a full moon cycle).

* IMPACTS...At this level, widespread roadway flooding occurs in
coastal and bayside communities and along inland tidal
waterways. Many roads become impassable. Some damage to
vulnerable structures may begin to occur.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Spotty minor flooding is likely with the
Monday morning high tide, but the highest water levels are

She feeds the most aggressive one to insure survival. If it is a good year for catching food all the chicks stand their own and survive, but it looks like this year the one chick isn't going to make it. Its sibling has gotten stronger and attacks its own sibling so it can get all the food. Nature can be cruel.

They caught a few fish and the runt got a good feeding yesterday, and a good feeding today so I think it is going to be okay after all. Its sibling still kicks its butt and it cowers when the adult first arrives with food, but there is enough to go around and the runt might get big enough to not get attacked pretty soon.
