A couple of months ago, I asked about rock groups with good brass sections. Lots of good answers, and this group might be among them, but I've just found them and want to recommend:

Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats

Check out "S.O.B." and "I Never Get Old" (first two on this url):

Caught them while cruising around on NPR's "Tiny Desk" program, which I love. You might also check out Monika Christodoulou on the same program: This is a songstress who is highly engaging.

Saw Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats at this year's New Orleans Jazz Fest. They rocked the Gentilly Stage and I can't stop singing "SOB". They are in the Netherlands next month and I gave some slight consideration to going over and following them on tour. :pimp:

Tango, . I have read some of your threads. You are severely challenged. But thanks for having my back.

Rateliff and Company bring it. Here's one I don't think was in that original thread that you might like, from the Waterboys (Irish band big in the 80s):

And, of course, most ska bands have great horn sections and the Specials had one of the best. Try this one out if you haven't heard it.

Any of the stuff? The early stuff was so good. And the horns .. Incomparable
Well since I don't seek it out I only hear what was popular occasionally on Sirius. But it just makes my skin crawl now - I have no idea why. Probably issues from my childhood. LOL.

Would have mentioned the Skatellites and the English Beat ,Selector along with One Step Beyond by Madness but they were more 80's related. .Yes Tango that song had a sax and it was woodwind. My all time favorite party album was James White and the Blacks ..
