You may not love her but at 34 is still kicking ass at Wimbledon
Ties Steffi Graff. Now if we could just get an American man in the mix?

This train is never late.Serena used to be pretty girl. Then she hit the juice and turned into Ray Lewis with long hair and regular temper tantrums. Not that she's alone. Women's tennis is full of chemikals
Serena is a great tennis player performing in a era when womens tennis is weak .There is no Graff,Seles,Navaritola and Evert.
124 mile an hour serve. That would have reduced Martina and Chris to tears.
They were old by then. Martina was still good but Evert was essentially done by the mid-80's. I was a huge Evert fan but no way she could compete physically with today's players.Steffi did play versus Martina and evert. Better players in my opinion.
What happened to Seles was just horrible. I did not realize she won I think 10 major titles.
Cali, Was Graff slipping when she retired or was she still winning?
Stop this bullsit, you would not have said this if Kerber won.Serena used to be pretty girl. Then she hit the juice and turned into Ray Lewis with long hair and regular temper tantrums. Not that she's alone. Women's tennis is full of chemikals
NOT.Steffi Graf (in her prime) >>>>> Serena (in her prime)
Steffi will always be the best...
Still think women's tennis is not good now. Evert was done but also Seles was there too and she is in the Hall of Fame.
Had Seles not been stabbed, I think she and Steffi would have ended up around the same major total...18ish or so. Seles was utterly dominant.
Agree Serena's competition has been weaker in recent years, but her longevity is incredible. She also has the Tiger Woods factor of beating her opponents on intimidation and her dominance.
Serena is the greatest of all time, in my opinion.
American men's tennis will be down for a very long time I think.
Steffi Graf was retired at around 30. She won a lot more in a shorter period of time. Who knows how many titles she would've won had she continued playing. And mens' tennis is on a relative upswing. Some good talent coming up the ranks.
I sure hope you're right. Been hearing this since Roddick/Blake era. I'm not as confident as you, but I'll be glad to be proven wrong.Steffi Graf was retired at around 30.
