Given the clogged threads of weather it's important that this day stand out. I know a lot of people who plan on being outside that day. Weather looks cold but great! Mid twenties around noon, no wind, and lots of sun. Have a great day!

Yeah, the national championship is lining up to be a good one!
Still plenty of time to enjoy the day outside before that - I'll definitely be out there doing so. Not looking great for new snow, but still time for that to change. Either way, cold temps will preserve what's there nicely.

Not much to derail even though there was effort. Day looks like a beautiful winter day for the many millions who will enjoy it. I will get a little colder for those staying outside into the early evening so definitely bring a hat and gloves.

Don't understand why they picked the 3rd Monday of January knowing this conflict would happen now and again. Why they couldn't have picked the 2nd Monday or 3rd Friday or better yet the 15th his actual birthday?
How bout they just move it to the Friday before when this conflict happens? It would actually put it closer to his birthday and provide for a nice historical 4 day weekend. But that's our government.

2009 had an historic day where all admitted what an important day it was. I think Monday will be the same, but it will take many awhile to admit they were better off in the short and long term, with things going as they have. I do think America, Americans and both parties will benefit. If only that day in 2009 turned out that way instead of same ol' same ol'.
