I know that they both passed away. After watching The Queen's Gambit, I was reintroduced to Venus and Looked up the group. Markisa was smokin' hot: great face / busty. That's a hard combination to beat.
Lot's of stars / musicians are no longer with us...but we remember them. You're a history buff and I know you understand.
Regardless, there is also something about Markisa's looks that reminds me of my last wife (#2 / #3)...qho passed in March 2019.

Never liked rocker gals much although I was really wasn't old enough to follow 60s music. She's not a rocker but I kinda liked Jersey's Marilyn McCoo for looks (voice smooth as butter). She came across as classy and not one of those pass around band chicks like Grace Slick etc
I am fairly knowledgeable about rock and pop music going back to the 1960's, and I admit I never heard of Shocking Blue or The Smiths.

Always thought the Supremes were underrated from a beauty perspective...
Overall, though, my two favorites are probably Shirley Manson (Garbage) and Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star).

Sat across from Michelle / Jack Nicholson circa 1984 -floor level at Lakers -Knicks game.
Michelle looked great- never thought much of her voice (it was actually better than I gave her credit for).

if you have never heard Venus by Shocking Blue, then you are not knowledgeable about pop and rock music. That song was huge and everywhere for awhile. I bought the 45
That's not what I said. I know the song from the Bangles version, but never heard of Shocking Blue. Weird conclusion by you. I could pretty much crush 95% of the population in pop and rock music name that tune/trivia.
