OT-Yankees Season Over-Who R The Overall Top Free Agents/Yankees' Targets?

Yanks are not going near Harper at the money he supposedly wants. Look at his year this year. Not impressive - 24/86/.243, and has never had 100 RBIs in his first 5 seasons. Albert Pujols averaged 125 RBIs over his first 5 seasons. Been there, done that contract with ARod, and Harper has potential to be as much of a PITA as Rodriguez was. No way Harper gets $300MM + from the Yanks.

Yanks will still go free agent route for some needs but I think the days of building the team around it are done for now. That business model doesn't seem to work anymore.

I, for one, don't want any more 2-3 year windows to win and then suffering for 5 years with bloated contracts and injured 37 year old guys waiting for the next window to open.

They can't get Trout he is signed at least through 2020, I don't think there is any way they go after Harper ... That leaves starting pitching which is probably our biggest need. Not sure who's available after next season tho.

And is the free agent class everybody keeps hyping up after 2017 season or is it after 2018?
