Maybe ND cooled on him? Shrewsberry knew full well that RU only came back from that killer deficit @PSU when Paul was replaced by Derek. He should have have chosen Notre Dame who needed replacement players.
And finished his masters here with tons of goodwill in NJ/NY area for opening future career doors.I’ll also add that Paul should have put his ego aside and been okay with a slightly reduced/different role for his last year at Rutgers.
Paul helped make RU a winner and because I feel the team was going in a different direction than the type that his game fit well in, he needed to find a program that he fit better into if he wanted to get enough miniuite to feel like he was contributing to their success. And finished his masters here with tons of goodwill in NJ/NY area for opening future career doors.
I mean he left for $400K (reportedly) at last possible minute and is still unhappy. Are we supposed to feel bad for him?Tough crowd.
Haters gonna hate. Most fans liked Paul but the haters love to pile on.Paul helped make RU a winner and because I feel the team was going in a different direction than the type that his game fit well in, he needed to find a program that he fit better into if he wanted to get enough miniuite to feel like he was contributing to their success.
Mulcahy gave Rutgers 4 good years , that should count for something
and if he felt his time as a Rutgers starter was at an end, I can understand his leaving as a grad transfer.
Just hope the unhappy camper rumor isn't true, he did enough at RU for me to want him feel good about being at Washington.

(Ignoring a couple of the troll posts ITT which as always are out of line)
This same thing was rumored about him a couple weeks ago. It's him.It definitely does not say this is Paul.
No, no reason to feel bad for him. Just reason to be decent human beings. Too much to ask for sometimes. (And btw, no problem with your posts.)I mean he left for $400K (reportedly) at last possible minute and is still unhappy. Are we supposed to feel bad for him?

This and the guy is one us - a rutgers grad ! So if he wants to get a masters degree somewhere else , that his choice and right . Do these same people get mad when a rutgers grad pursues a masters or JD somewhere else ?Paul helped make RU a winner and because I feel the team was going in a different direction than the type that his game fit well in, he needed to find a program that he fit better into if he wanted to get enough miniuite to feel like he was contributing to their success.

Pike made the guy a two-time captain . All we heard was how a great of a kid he was , donating his NIL money to the food kitchen and showing appreciation to the band.Makes you wonder if he was a problem here and Pikiell had the team kept it quiet
Ummm…this is not necessarily Paul.
Context would have been helpful.
Some player in the Pacific Northwest is not necessarily Paul
I don’t understand how he couldnt be happy if he got paid $400k. That’s an insane amount of money for someone with his skill setI mean he left for $400K (reportedly) at last possible minute and is still unhappy. Are we supposed to feel bad for him?

We all know that person that does really nice things for other people, but somehow still manages to rub people the wrong way.Pike made the guy a two-time captain . All we heard was how a great of a kid he was , donating his NIL money to the food kitchen and showing appreciation to the band.
If he was a problem , pike didn’t handle it well. So I doubt that
With Oskar now coming back and Austin Williams not announced but a done deal according to everyone then this would be the first time maybe ever that Pikiell will actually be out of scholarships. And Mulcahy burned bridges, certainly with the fans, and most certainly with the staff so definitely possible that the door was closed.
His life is in order - he has a bachelors degree and is basically looking for a landing spot to play a game for some extra money - there are plenty of worse situations for a 22 yr old kid to be in.This kids a ****ing joke. Hopefully he gets his life in order. Had a good deal here (too good) and basically spit in his HC's face
If we paid money to watch the pre-law Rutgers grad, donated money to get/keep the athlete on the team, and bled Scarlet blood with them....well, then yes. But comparing a non-athletic, pre-law grad picking a different law school to one of our athletes is quite the stretch. This and the guy is one us - a rutgers grad ! Just highlighting the absurdity of the whole thing. If we paid money to watch the pre-law Rutgers grad, donated money to get/keep the athlete on the team, and bled Scarlet blood with them....well, then yes. But comparing a non-athletic, pre-law grad picking a different law school to one of our athletes is quite the stretch.
Seriously??? He took a bag. Almost anyone would do it. Lay offDon’t know if this is Paul but would be hilarious if it’s true. Couldn’t happen to a worse guy.
