PAY LATER: Why aim to spend 2.5 mill on a mediorce coach (Golden,Cristobal) who probably has about 50/50 shot at succeeding? If they fail you're likely firing and buying them out anyways in a couple years, and now spending the same dough for similar results. This equals out to paying a power coach anyways

PAY NOW: Spend big and bring in a guy like Richt. Chances of success are extremely high. Richt loads up the roster with big talent and builds up a proud and strong fan base. In a couple years a bigger school comes in a swoops him away and his big salary off our books. Now with the talent and fanbase in place - we could hire a cheaper but solid coach to keep what Richt built steady.. And we looking good for years to come.

Point is... Regardless your gonna pay. Might as well attempt to Pay now and get the well built merchandise, instead buying cheaper, and constantly replacing it because it keeps breaking

Again, I doubt he will come but you have to try. I am amazed what Spurier did for Usc football, school spirit and even enhancing enrollment. I am in the camp of spent the money upfront and the benefits will be more than worth it. Time to start thinking like the Big Boys. We are no longer at the kids table. Big 10 is for real and we should treat it that way. By the way F... SI, ESPN and the ledger they will come crawling to us when we keep the talent home.
