Our fans will show up on time too when our team actually wins

Winning will take precedent over tailgating when that happens and people will WANT to be inside the stadium

At the moment, tailgating is much more fun

In the green lot, my group starts packing up about 45 minutes before kickoff
It seems that more than half of the other tailgaters are not doing likewise, and you can tell it ain't happening any time soon
Me thinks many don't make it in at all

I dislike speculating too much about the future, but if I were forced to do so, I would speculate that at some point, RU will find a way to fund NIL at the same or better level than the elite B1G teams and that will raise RUFB up much, much higher within the conference.

NIL and pay for play makes this possible, where it wasn’t before. But it may take quite some time for RU to find the initial funding. I am pretty sure it won’t be through individual small donations initially, but through businesses. Eventually, if RU can win enough for a decade or so, then there will be more fans and more of those fans will wish to contribute.

The trick will be to find that first infusion of competitive NIL funding.

A few points:

• Paterno, Spanier and Curley are all gone. They were responsible for allowing what happened there to continue. Criminal proceedings are done. Sandusky (hopefully) never sees daylight as a free man again.
• Franklin has an undisciplined team with a lot of raw talent. Penn State can steamroll or wear out most of their opponents (what I saw watching the PSU-Wisconsin game) but they can't do that to OSU. Franklin probably can't coach his talent up (given his 1-x record againt OSU that seems likely).
• The Nitwits have NC expectations that most likely will never be fulfilled with Franklin at the helm. it's proof that there is a God in heaven :-)
• And yes, the Nitwits get into the stadium for kickoff.

Seriously fan interactions in person are always a lot friendlier in person than on message boards. it is a great place to go see a game. I've met great people at various stops that would be surprising considering what repsective fan boards usually sound like (Syracuse, PSU, Miami, BC). We can all just get along.

State Penn took a 10 year contract on Franklin...they are stuck with him for a few more years. not sure when his contract runs out but it isn't in the near future where a buy out is feasible.
