If his heart isn’t in it anymore it’s better that way… it was just so promising after his freshman season.. Poz is a great guy I’ll always root for him, but yeah idk what happened to that fighting spirit…
Pretty harsh. I didn’t expect him to come back, think the sport has worn on him, but I don’t think he’s packing it in for the year. He got destroyed by a better guy tonight, definitely broke him, but it doesn’t mean he’s quitting on the year.
I’m not trying to be harsh at all…to your point it’s a brutal sport and if this kid isn’t passionate about it anymore he may just say I’ve had enough. Great career and time to move on…
I read in a recent article he said he is going to be champ this year.. I wonder if kids just say it to say it these days.. or if they actually mean it.. witout passion this sport is almost impossible.. damn..
Except for some who wore Rutgers singlets. Some were deserved, especially those constantly backing up. But some certainly weren't warranted against us.

I was there and didnt think that. Neither did anyone else in our group or around us. It was a WTF moment for sure. I thought maybe he was injured/concussed. Never would I think Poz would quit a match like that, but maybe he did.

You make a decent point.. a lot of matches play out like this actually… nothing.. tied n then one takedown final flurry or OT.. Lilledahl had plenty of matches like this this year and barely made it out that’s y I didn’t think he looked untouchable this year when many PSU fans were already crowning him. Both matches were close enough where the results could flip flop the other way next time.
This last min was difficult to watch… for anyone that listened I said that Barr is relentless.. I was super impressed how in many previous matches in the third, most wrestlers are fighting to survive/protect... Barr, instead, is emptying the tank to bonus them.. he’s only a fresh? If I’m Buchanan/Ferrarri I’d be very worried bout Barr rn he’s a big problem..
Barr is a machine. It was less about Poz quitting(don’t think that’s the case) and more about Poz getting his heart ripped out. Barr is sending a message to the entire weight class. Need to be agressive and score on the first period. If not I will major you late in the second or third.

In the absence of any other information (which is often the case), and based on what I saw, Poz quit. It was sudden and pathetic. He has been my favorite guy since arriving, but I'm embarrassed for him and ashamed. We have had other guys that took a beating but never quit.
