I dont know I guess Hobbs isnt interested in Sendek. I would go with the Stony Brook guy then the Manhattan coach. Hobbs and Hurley need to get this done and agreed upon IMO

I am not in favor of selecting a coach from Stony Brook or Manhattan because it would only enhance the perception that Rutgers isn't serious about mens basketball.Sendek has the resume and experience at the highest level of competition.There are other coaches with a national reputation that are available if Rutgers is willing to make written promises regarding facilities and salaries for staff.

The longer this process continues the more likely Hurley has said no and the remaining choices are second/third tier .

come on, man. more like sendek isn't interested in Rutgers. Hurley already said no to this job once. nothing would surprise me as this job has a well earned reputation as a career killer. low pay, high expectations, crappy facilities just isn't a recipe for success.

This is insane. So he interviewed. So f-ing what? I don't care about who he talks to, I don't care about who the next hot rumor is, and I certainly don't care about Internet chatter about the above. I will let Hobbs hire somebody, and then I will listen to the guy at his press conference and decide how I feel about him.

Oh, and for those of you who have a first choice, learn how to spell the guy's name. :smiley:

We (as a fan base) don't give anyway which is status quo and the biggest problem with our department. Anyway he's a people person so once he's in front of these people I'm sure he could help raise funds from these donors just as well as the next guy.

Why not listen to Williams and see what he has to say? We are at this point not much better than a division 3 team so its a good place to learn.

I can only assume that Williams is getting a courtesy interview to enhance media relationships. If Williams is hired I will beyond shocked.

Yao Ming was the first pick in the NBA 2002 draft, one ahead of Williams. Hobbs should have interviewed him first.

If the guy really had a burning desire to coach, the type of desire necessary to turn around a program like RU, then he would have, you know, coached by now.
