Well, we've accomplished that.We don't need every player to be a 3 point shooter. I get that we need to address it at some point but we can still build a successful team taking players like Kiss.

Rutgers has now lost 3 players from last seasons squad. The priority should be filling the scholarships with players that can play this season and not with transfers to sit out a year.I haven't really seen that many people talking about Kisses game.
Just watching three videos, what stands out most about him:
1High focus during the game. Has a look that he stays in the game for the full forty minutes.
2Has a varied level of shot selection. Surprisingly for his size he takes a lt of his shots in and less than a foot from the paint.
3 He takes proper cuts to create space. Old school tactics. You don't see as many people doing this these days. Often in hoops I see a lot of proper spacing with little actually cutting. People are very dependent on the kick out pass. Kiss working for his shots will allow him to get better ones.
4 With the Rutgers staff, Kisses game will probably get better. He could use increased size, especially in the big. He definitely needs more strength.
I am not quite sure I see the ultra athleticism in all of his games. He picks the right pace to play with and made decisions correctly without his pace dictating his decision making. He does not come off lightning quick. I think his turnovers would decrease on the Banks.
Overall, he has a good game. His level of competitiveness would make any team better, but especially the Rutgers Basketball program. It would be a nice addition.
Maac to Big ten would be a jump, but I think with proper strength added, Kiss could make it and would contribute near what he was at QP and higher because of his saavy play. He is sneaky.
After proving he was efficient for the MAAC, I like to think he wanted to see a greater level of play. I could see him getting a long very well with the staff on the Banks. Looking at the risk, I think with a kid like Kiss it is a very sound risk, not the type of player to transfer one or two times after Rutgers.
Hopefully the staff can land him.

By your comment it seems 2017-18 isn't that important.I also think good players could be misconstrued as to talking about character versus skill set.Rutgers needs shooters above anything else and not more complementary type players who might meet your definition of good players.Winning matters now for Pikiell to keep the positive media attention received last year.Fans in favor of patience should know by now that such a course of action hasn't worked for the mens basketball program the last 26 years. The priority should be good players.
