Horrific recruiting leading up to this class and awful job in the portal. I don’t think it will get Eddie Jordan bad but this program isn’t sniffing the tournament for years to come.

1000% falls on Pike. These transfers are awful.
His recruiting went right back to what its been this year. The culture of defense and rebounding 1st is dead. Talented kids these days want nothing to do with it. I believe its the reason Bennett retired from UVA.
He didn’t even recruit defense and rebounding in the portal. I have no idea what he recruited. It doesn’t even feel like he scouted Martini. Maybe some highlight clips and offered him. Mind boggling
This. If he got defense only guys this year they probably could’ve Rutgers basketballed their way to 65 point wins

Completely bailed on his recruitment philosophy by bringing in offense-first guys and yet he didn’t adjust the on-court coaching philosophy at all. Wild
They lost their top scorer in the 1st minute.
We are without our best player and they are without theirs.
The bottom line is that Pike's bad HS recruiting over an extended period of time have crushed this teams depth and then almost all of the portal players he has brought in to cover for it stink.
Some place there's a major donor out there watching this basketball season saying to himself, "why the fvck did I give Pike $50k for this kid?"

Every transfer he brought in this year is horrendous, lets also remember, as bad as the transfers are Grant and Dortch cant sniff the floor.

We all talked about what a disaster the recruiting was for the last several years. So many total whiffs (Jalen Miller, Reiber, Jaden Jones, Woolfolk, Simpson, Griffiths). Can’t even keep track of them all.
Pike 100% blew it. He should have moved heaven and earth to put a team around Ace and dylan...

Another mistake Pike made was bowing to Lathan and not bringing in another big man who could have hopefully crashed the boards and rebound
