I can’t remember the last time we had people saying that about Rutgers

He forgot deep

You know your program is on the rise when opponents are saying Rutgers is physical and strong...we have never been that in the big ten...and with the season exception here and there (probably last time was NIT runner up team in 2003) ...almost never since we joined the big east in 1995-96

Doorson will be a loss but Johnson at the starting C with Carter as the backup PF/C and Gene the starting PF will do enough for us next season. It’s the 3-guard/SF rotation next season of Baker, Mathis, McConnell, Harper, Mulcahy that we’ll need to get us to where we want to go.

This kind of lineup for next year reminds me of what Jay Wright does at Villanove so successfully. He'll put for guards out there and a big man. We can do that next season as wll to mix it up.

It's a good position to be in, to be playing this competitively and only really needing someone to step up and be a post stopper and we'll have replaced the contributions of our senior. (I think Myles understands this and is working on being that guy btw)

This is the million dollar.question.for.me. How will Pikiell look to build the roster going forward?

Does he continue to build a roster that is bigger, longer and more physical than other B1G teams.

Don't sleep on the impact of Young. Mark it down. His quickness will be significant in breaking down defenses.

Anyone have any insight if Nathan has the chops to see the floor at all next year?

Our rotation of bigs will be Johnson (RS So, 6-10) and Omoruyi (Sr, 6-7) starting.... with Carter (Sr, 6-9) and Doucoure (RS So, 6-9) coming off the bench. Having Nathan (RS Fr, 6-10) be able to contribute anything at all would be bonus.

isn't this Nathan's 2nd year so a RS soph?
I'd like to see what he has but I highly doubt he touches the floor except in early season blowouts (God Willing).
Don't we still have (at least) 1 ship avail as well?

This is his first year. Enrolled in June 2018.

I would seem to think so. His MO is defense and size. The high school Omoruyi is huge.

I agree, but, some here seem to be advocating for a different style....a big and 4 perimeter players....copying what a lot of other teams are doing.

We can talk about a walk-on playing minutes next year, or we can talk about being a bubble team. We can't talk about both.

Show me a high-major bubble team or better playing a walk-on... Don't include guys like Kenny Goins or Luke Maye who were legit 3-star prospects who started as walk-ons.
