Many of you know I have been harping on this for many years, but isn't it amazing what a difference a true point guard makes to a team?

I know its only one game and not against B1G levels, but watching faster ball movement, with purposeful passing makes basketball much more enjoyable to watch, and I am sure more enjoyable to play for the players. Passing tends to get contagious, and when everyone buys in, we will see the team grow more and more.

And as Corey develops more and HS/JUCO players see this type of team play, they will luv playing with a guy like Corey and for that type of team.

It is hard not to get excited about this team after watching the Howard game. I am a season ticket holder for the first time and I think this team will provide alot of thrills. No question, we will have ups and downs but the ball movement change from last year is night and day!! Sanders/Freeman tandem will be fun to watch. As EJ says we are young and "new" but if we can keep these pieces together and add to it with some good 2016 recruits, we may have something here.

The ball moving quickly is a pleasure. For years too often the ball stayed in one guys hand like forever. Corey really snaps his passes. I think Daniels holds the ball still too long but Goode seems very good at moving the ball too. All the guys need to realize this and we will have the defense moving much faster and getting them more tired. Freeman can really pass too. Unfortunately Diallo dropped 2 passes yesterday and Lewis dropped 1 when both guys were not ready for his passes when they each could have had easy baskets. I know Freeman tried a behind the back pass and another fancy one too but our guys have to see this in practice and be aware that he throws passes of all types. They should see this in practice and they will be more alert watching for any type of pass. I am excited for this team and just hope we continue to progress. It is nice seeing 10 guys playing and pushing the pace. I can't remember when we scored 82 in a game. Last year we only averaged about 58 or so. Actually yesterday all 10 guys played in the game within the first 8 minutes of the game. That was nice to see.
