I have no idea what this is about........ and yet, i can't disagree........

It's the article he just posted about Seton Hall owning NJ Men's Hoops. He's a tool.

A tool? He’s probably got a whole closet of sweaty RU wrestling singlets. He loves Rutgers. Actually edit that. He hates everything that succeeds. When Pikiell gets u guys to the tourney he’ll do a hit piece.

There's no consistent or unbiased college basketball coverage in the region, unfortunately. From NJ to the NYPost etc, there used to be depth and actual knowledge of the game. Now it's click-worthiness with nothing relevant.

If Politi stumbled upon a basketball practice more than twice, it would be a shock.

The relevant information and basketball knowledge lies within the fans of most programs that show up, understanding the game and leave the reporting to the boards here and elsewhere.

PH Politi, loves to twist the RU tale, why not he's the one man sports guy for a dying paper he's got plenty of time on his hands. basic difference between the two teams is home court, and SH has a guy that can fill it up most nights.

but beyond Powell, is there now a measurable talent gap between us and them? And I cannot remember the last time I could say that.

I think during last year's game, Crispin said that Powell was their best player, better than all 4 seniors, and he was right.

we have to see how our 3 young wings, Kiss/Mathis/Harper, develop for the balance of the year. Baker and Eugene need help, which help them not try to do too much.

So a 6 pt loss on the road on abysmal shooting- after being down 3 with about 3 mins to go-with a roster full of 1st year players--I consider Geo basically a 1st year PG--is getting owned?

LMAO Politi, I'm already penciling in a win at the RAC next year for the Boardwalk trophy.
The point of Politi column is that Seton Hall has won 5 out of the last 6 games with Rutgers and also has been second to Villanova in being the most successful Northeast team .Winning matters and Rutgers needs to stop the losing seasons.A small catholic school in NJ shouldn't be dominating the State University.

It's basketball, seemingly a third of the states in the country have some small Catholic school dominating the state U for stretches of time.

I think Politi really enjoyed trying to knock RU football down a peg when they were experiencing moderate success and I think it kills him that his job now consists of kicking programs while they're (perpetually, in this case) down.
